Chapter 429 - Chapter 429: The Boss Legion

A massive legion had suddenly launched an attack from the rear, catching the Grass Fork Knights completely off guard.

No one had expected the Evil Empire's forces to resurrect and regroup so quickly—let alone launch a surprise assault.

Even more unexpected was their choice to aid King Arthur in breaking the siege.

After all, King Arthur's army had been locked in a years-long struggle against the Evil Empire. It could even be said that the current wave of rebellion across the land was sparked by King Arthur himself.

Without the rallying call of this chosen king, and his relentless conquest of towns, the Evil Empire would never have fallen into such a state.

That these two factions, bound by deep hatred, would now choose to unite was entirely outside everyone's expectations.

But in truth, such a turn of events was only natural. Qin Ming's forces had grown so vast that not even the combined remnants of King Arthur and the Evil Empire could match his army.

If they still refused to unite, and King Arthur were to fall, the other faction wouldn't survive either.

Qin Ming had vaguely guessed that the two might form an alliance.

What he hadn't anticipated was how decisively they would do so—or how rapidly the Evil Empire's troops would arrive.

Within the chaos of the camp, the two sides were already entangled in fierce combat.

The Grass Fork Knights fought in disorganized swarms. Though lacking formation, they made up for it with sheer numbers.

Even though the Evil Empire had dispatched elite troops this time, they couldn't gain the upper hand immediately.

As a result, several of their legion commanders did not hesitate to implement a decapitation strategy—aiming to kill the leader first and end the fight in one stroke.

As long as this so-called "Holy King" died, the Grass Fork Empire would surely collapse from within.

Amid the howling wind, the Phantom Knight—the commander of the Phantom Legion—was dashing at full speed toward Qin Ming.

His figure kept splitting, forming one doppelgänger after another, moving like a ghost.

His abilities were highly unique: he could constantly produce real clones, each inheriting his speed and strength perfectly.

The drawback was that the more he split, the weaker his overall constitution became, as it had to be divided among the copies.

The Phantom Knight was a textbook assassin-type specialist, excelling in swarm tactics—skilled in overwhelming with numbers.

If this had been earlier, Qin Ming might truly have struggled against this kind of many-versus-one combat style.

But the one standing before the Phantom Knight now was Qin Ming in his Sound Nest Battle Suit.

And the Sound Nest Battle Suit was designed precisely to counter weaker opponents.

As long as the enemy remained within its computational limits, no matter how many came, it could handle them all.

Dodging rapidly through the incoming Phantom Knights, Qin Ming raised his hand, gathering blood energy to strike.

Each of his attacks nearly killed a Phantom Knight instantly. These endlessly splitting copies had pitiful vitality—unable to withstand even one of his blows.

However, the overwhelming numbers surrounding him still gave Qin Ming a major headache. He simply couldn't kill them fast enough.

After dispatching yet another enemy and seeing the foe continue to divide, Qin Ming suddenly let out a furious roar and raised one arm high into the air.

As Qin Ming's clawed hand clenched, a crimson blood orb instantly formed in his palm, and large amounts of blood floated up from the surrounding corpses.

Skill! Modified—Blood Spiral Annihilation!

With a whoosh, countless blood droplets splashed outward, swirling around Qin Ming to form a red vortex that spread rapidly.

The many Phantom Knights circling around Qin Ming barely had time to scream before being pierced by the blood droplets in the next second—their bodies riddled with holes.

Using this massive AOE attack, Qin Ming forcefully cleared the surrounding enemies and broke through the Phantom Knight's deadly onslaught head-on.

But before he could finish his move, a piercing gust of wind suddenly echoed.

The next second, a towering figure strode out from the rapidly spinning bloodstorm.

It was the towering, heavily armored, beast-like commander of the Beast Legion: Barbas!

Barbas ignored the blood baptism entirely! He withstood the bombardment of the blood droplets and walked straight through the enormous vortex formed by Blood Spiral Annihilation!

Without hesitation, he swung his massive warhammer in a wide arc, landing a direct hit to Qin Ming's chest, sending him flying on the spot.

Before Qin Ming could even steady himself from his tumbling crash, Barbas leapt into the air, raising his enormous hammer, ready to press the attack.

But before Barbas could descend, a violent roar erupted from the side.

The next moment, dust and sand exploded as Kasamoto Eiri, riding a triceratops, suddenly charged in, ramming the beast's horned head into Barbas' chest and launching the brute through the air.

While commanding her mount in the charge, Kasamoto Eiri, riding on the dinosaur's back, yanked out her energy machine gun and began wildly firing at the now airborne Barbas at close range.

Sparks burst from Barbas' armor as he struggled to regain footing—but there was no way to resist the full impact of a charging triceratops with brute force alone.

Watching the enemy get blasted away, Qin Ming's expression turned serious. He raised his hand to gather blood, preparing to rush over and assist—when he suddenly heard the sound of wind behind him.

His pupils contracted at the noise, and he spun around, lifting his arm to block.

Almost simultaneously, a katana slashed toward him at high speed, striking the arm he raised to shield his neck.

Sparks flew from the collision. Realizing the sneak attack had failed, Muramasa, the assassin sent to kill him, narrowed his eyes and suddenly exploded into smoke as he retreated.

Qin Ming's counterstrike missed, and with the enemy's trail lost, he turned his head, scanning the area—finally spotting Muramasa in midair.

There, suspended in the sky, Muramasa spread his limbs into an "X" shape and let out a deep shout.

"Hi!"

Boom!

As the word left his mouth, the air behind him twisted, and a dense barrage of fireballs burst forth, carpet-bombing Qin Ming's position.

As the fireballs landed, they exploded with thunderous blasts—these weren't just fireballs, they were bombs!

Amid the chain of explosions, Qin Ming raised his arms to shield his face and took the full brunt of the attack with his body.

As the explosions subsided, before the smoke could fully clear, Qin Ming had already charged out of the blast zone.

His arm transformed into a cannon barrel, and he took aim at the sky—only to realize that Muramasa had already vanished.

Before he could search again, another deep shout suddenly rang in his ears.

"Rin!"

Behind Qin Ming—Muramasa had somehow reappeared in the smoke. With a roar, he drew his katana and launched into a flurry of rapid slashes toward Qin Ming.

One after another, the blade arcs merged into a storm, moving with incredible speed, ripping through the air as they tore toward their target.

As the boss of the sixth stage—Muramasa! Though named a samurai, his speed was astonishing! His abilities were bizarre and unpredictable! His fighting style resembled that of a ninja!
