When Tiamat felt Ex's approach, she hurriedly hid her horns and the features of her eyes. Now she looked like a normal, beautiful, and young-looking foreigner with long light blue hair that reached down to the back of her knees.
The young man with flaming red hair came in through the entrance with a huge smile on his face, "Good afternoon, Urahara-san! Do you mind giving me a free trial? Oh, and let me buy some more snacks. I showed them to Shirayuki nee-san and Kurobara nee-san, and they've been pestering me to send some over since yesterday."
He looked around and didn't see Kisuke. Instead, he found the unfamiliar Tiamat behind the counter and became a bit embarrassed, "Ah, hello. I'm Ex Gremory. I'm looking for Mr. Urahara. Is he in?" he introduced himself and asked in English, 'Now that I think about it, I also don't know the name of the lady from yesterday.'
"Japanese is fine. Do you have an appointment?" Tiamat asked with a straight and deadpan face.
Ex was stunned for a moment and realized how abrupt his visit was, "Eh? I'm sorry, I don't. May I have his contacts? I'll return later once I can talk to him."
Tiamat silently looked at him for a few moments before shaking her head, "I can't do that without his permission, but let me give him a quick call." She lifted her left hand, and a small Magic Circle appeared on top of it. However, this was just for show, and she had already started contacting Kisuke through their innate telepathy.
"I'm sorry to bother you, and thank you."
A few seconds later, Tiamat put down her hand and looked toward Ex, "He's currently using the training grounds and told me that you can come in. Just go to the same room and inject Magic Power into the same spot as yesterday, he said."
"Thank you, and excuse me." Ex happily took off his shoes and entered the living part of the shop. But before he disappeared behind the door, he turned around and asked, "By the way, how do I address you?"
"Tiamat." She gave a straightforward answer.
"Tiamat? What a coincidence. I also know someone who shares the same name. Nice to meet you, Tiamat-san."
...
Ex dropped down to the underground space and used his flight ability to speed up his descent. He felt Kisuke's weird aura and turned his body in that direction, but before he could see him, he saw a shining light blue arrow whistling toward him, "Hmm?"
The arrow bore the same aura as Kisuke, but this time, it was much clearer. 'That's Spiritual Power? But something is different. Is he related to the Etouldes?' Ex thought while pivoting his body to avoid it.
The next second, four more arrows came rushing, each aiming at his vitals. However, there was no killing intent behind them, and he realized what Kisuke was trying to do, 'I'm the one who came unannounced, and he's training. I guess this is good practice for me too.'
Ex then took out a crimson-bladed sword that emitted a surprising amount of Holy Aura before deflecting two arrows away and dodging the other two.
...
'Hooh? Is that perhaps the Galatine?' Kisuke asked himself.
One of the thirteen swords of the Knights of the Round Table, it was previously owned by King Arthur's nephew, Sir Gawain, and was considered a sister sword to both Excalibur and Arondight.
The Galatine in their previous world was given to Rias on the day of her engagement to Issei as a congratulatory gift from Heaven. It was reforged and adjusted so that even Devils could use it, but Rias decided not to use it. Instead, she wanted to save it for their future child, and it would seem that's also the case in this world.
'But it looks like it went through another modification. It should be called Galatine III now.'
[Great for you. A nice practice target just introduced himself,] Benihime's voice resounded in his mind. Whenever Kisuke did his Quincy training, he would always have Benihime return to him as another set of eyes to watch his inner world in case some dangerous changes would come out of it.
"Look at him. He's too confident with his senses." Kisuke lifted his left arm, which was wearing a white glove that extended up to his forearm. On the wrist of the glove was a white longbow made of pure Reishi. As he touched the string of the bow with his right hand, a light blue arrow manifested.
From there, Kisuke released six consecutive, quick-succession shots toward his flying target.
The white glove was the same Sanrei Glove (Spirit-Scattering Hand Envelope) that Uryu and Souken Ishida used to train their Reishi control. Its aim was to have enough Reishi control mastery to use a technique called Letzt Stil (Last Style) that gave a Quincy a massive boost in power for a short period once the glove was taken off.
It was the outdated form of a Quincy's Vollständig, but the power boost from it was enough to one-shot a Captain-level Shinigami while they were using their Bankai. The huge downside, however, was that the Quincy's power would be sealed after the effect was over.
Kisuke repurposed and modified this Sanrei Glove to become pure resistance training for him, and the glove could be taken off any moment without activating Letzt Stil. 'Should I scare him with Letzt Stil?' An intrusive thought came into Kisuke's mind.
[If you can suppress it enough that you won't destroy this whole space and are confident that he'll be able to dodge it, sure, go for it.] Although the words Benihime used sounded like sarcasm, Kisuke could actually hear the tone of her egging him on.
'Err... I might kill him, so I guess I should save it for another time.'
...
A few minutes later, Ex found himself pinned to the ground with several light blue arrows sticking out of him, "...Seriously?" he questioned himself and was very tempted to just escape reality.
