The Paladin fell for a while before his smile froze, because even though Li Yao kicked him diagonally upward, it supposedly wasn't far from the ground.
However, the force was gone, yet after several seconds of falling, he still couldn't feel the ground.
It wasn't until his Holy Shield spell dissipated that he realized he was still falling.
Then the steam abruptly vanished, revealing the Mountain Steam Dragon engulfed in vapor, followed by the raging and surging seawater below.
"Oh shit!"
With a splash, the Paladin plunged into the tumultuous water, barely reacting before a wave smacked him under, dragging him along the current. No need to think about it—getting swept into the underground world with such a fierce current meant certain death.
Li Yao and his companion quickly retreated to the rear of a boulder.
"Is that all it took?" Tongtong asked.
"Yes, settled," Li Yao confirmed.
