The morning air was crisp as Wil parked his car once again in the familiar street of the residential district. He got out, laptop shut this time, tucked into his bag, and made his way up to the first floor.
He rang the bell.
No answer.
He frowned and pulled out his phone, dialing Luoyang's number.
A moment later, her voice came through, slightly breathless. "Hey… I'm inside the game. Give me a minute."
"Sure," Wil replied, glancing at the closed door. "Take your time."
He leaned against the railing, eyes wandering over the quiet street, hands tucked into his jacket pockets. The minutes ticked by until, finally, the door creaked open.
Luoyang stood there, dressed casually in a loose T-shirt and yoga pants, her hair slightly damp, probably from a quick shower. There were faint shadows under her eyes, but she looked composed, almost unreadable.
Wil gave her a small smile. "Morning."
"Come in," she said quietly.
