Kevin put her in bed and then, while she was in bed, sat and looked at him, wondering what he would do next.
He covered her with the blanket, and then he adjusted the temperature.
"Since you have agreed to my terms and conditions, here is your reward!" Kevin said, and then he bent down to kiss her forehead.
"Good girl!" He said after kissing her on the forehead.
Earlier, Kevin thought about taking a slow step process of Kim getting involved with family members, so he used Eric's name as a shield to win her trust.
Then, as they were talking before dinner, he explained to her that we should try sitting at the dining table because we all know how Eric used to love to sit with the family, so why don't we follow his legacy?
Since we are married and it's a contract one, why don't we learn to adjust for a while?
He hates to admit the fact that they are in a contract marriage because of Kim. If Kim accepts for a lifetime, then things might change.
Surprisingly, Kim loved his kiss. To be honest, nowadays, certain changes have been made within her, and she could feel herself being comfortable with him.
What she doesn't want is she doesn't know, and she is confused about this situation she is going through.
"Secondly, I will be flying to Hangzhou because I have a last performance!" Kevin said before going.
"What do you mean?" Kim asked him.
"Actually tomorrow I will be taking an early morning flight to Hangzhou for my last event!"
"Means?" She asked
"Just retiring from the band because I have company to focus on. actually, your brother and I will be announcing it on the same day!" He told
"Could you please stay tonight!" She told him.
He couldn't believe what he heard just now, and that made him pause in his tracks.
He looked at her and she was serious. He walked out of the door and closed.
Outside grandfather was waiting for him and walked out smiling. Suddenly he was surprised to see him.
"What happened dear?" He asked him.
"Nothing, just surprised to see you. I mean, I never thought you would be here at this hour!" He replied.
"Well, since you are already suspecting me so, come down; I have something to discuss that needs your attention!" He said and began to walk down the stairs.
Kevin obeys and follows him; it's obvious to Grandpa that he knows he is there for some kind of work.
Inside the Study Room...
They sat across each other and Kevin was surprised to see Anh, Aunty Lu and Daniel.
Kevin was scared to see whole family members together. Maybe again, he did something which made everyone gather.
"Kevin we all know!" Daniel said.
Kevin was terrified by the fact that he knew now he would be kicked out of the mansion. The fact that broke him is that he won't be able to see Kim again.
"What!" Still, he acted clueless just to see if he was right or not, even though, in his mind, he was sure they knew.
"You convinced...." Daniel began to speak.
The word convinced made his heart beat louder, and he tried his level best to pray that it wouldn't be what he was thinking.
"See, we know you convinced Kim to get down for dining; we cannot express how happy we were today. Thank you so much!" Anh cut him off.
"Ohh!" Kevin cooled down; he could not be more happy than getting exposed that they were playing pretend.
"Since you have already been able to do this, why don't you convince her to return back to the company!" Anh made this point.
"You see, our cosmetic sales are going down, and she could handle this better!" Daniel said to Anh while taking a dip in his coffee.
"Hey, we can't. I mean, come on guys, she just took a step. Give her time; why don't we give her some time to get back!" Aunty Lu suggested.
"Well, Lu is right. We need to give her some space so that she can regain her consciousness from pain, and it's the first step she took. We cannot make her jump 3 stairs up!" Grandpa finally opened his mouth.
