Two months have passed since the girl's were made angels and Bobby and Garth have spent every waking minute reading books. Ketch has had his people looking into Cronos as well. Cass has even stopped in a few times to get updates. So far no one has made any progress on the subject.
The boys and Ketch have decided to do a trial run tonight on a nest of vampires that has been going after a small town called Clemson in South Carolina. So they pick out fifteen hunters who have really excelled in all of their classes and head out that way.
It takes them four days of steady driving to get to Clemson. During the drive the boys get two updates from Bobby. The first one is to tell the boys that Garth found Cronos in a book, but they haven't found anything else out yet. The second update was to let the boys know that according to the hunters there these vampires are very strange. So be prepared for anything. The hunter that called for help didn't give much information, all he knows is the young hunter who called them is named Stan and he will meet them at the church when they get there. Also make sure to stay away from the water. And Stan recommends getting there before dark.
The boys get to town at 12:30 p.m. the head strait to the church. Since it's the second biggest building in the town they don't have any trouble finding it. When the four cars pull up in front of the church a very young looking man steps outside.
"Hello I am Stan, I am guessing you are the hunters God told me to call. Before we go any further I need you to pull your cars into the barn behind the church. If the Vampires see new cars in town they will slaughter everyone we have left."
So Sam, Ketch, Tom, and Dillon all moved the cars into the barn then everyone went into the church.
"Ok how about you tell us what you know."
"So about two weeks ago people started to disappear. Me and about ten other men set up a neighborhood watch. We realized the people were disappearing at night so we started patrolling as soon as it got dark. The first night we saw nothing. The town was asleep, but in the morning five people were gone. The second night we saw something strange, two men and a women that disappeared in the beginning walked through town and took more people with them. When it happened again for a third night we tried stopping them to see what was happening. We walked up to them, I grabbed one man's arm. I turned him towards me and realized it was my brother Jack. I was in shock. That's when Jack hissed at me. His eyes were red, and his nail were longer than I have ever seen, and he has fangs. He tried to grab me but I ran back to the church. When I got there two men were inside waiting for me. one guy was young like me and the other guy was older and wore a trench coat. The young man told me he was God and handed me a piece of paper with your number on it. He told me to call that number and help would come. Then the one in the coat told me to gather everyone that was left and get them in the basement of the church. So that's what I did. Then I called you guys and here we are. Can you guys help? Out of eleven hundred fifty-three people we only have about two hundred survivors left down there."
" Wait so your telling me about nine hundred people have disappeared, Why don't you guys leave once you were told what was going on? And Where the hell are they hiding out at?"
"They won't let us leave town. If we try to make plans to leave they always know. Then they start slaughtering the people rather than taking them."
"Awesome, that means you have a familiar in the group. Have any of the survivors disappeared then shown up again? If so that's your mole. We have to tie them up, gag them, cover their ears, and blindfold them so they can't report back to their master."
" The only ones who fit that description are two children, a brother and sister got lost in the woods by their house. They were missing for six hours, and we found them in a cave. The little girl is four and hasn't spoke since we found them. But the boy is eight, and he follows us round every where. We have never delt with vampires before so we have no idea what to do about any of this."
"First we need to see him then we will know. Let's go see these kids. Ketch, you and the guys stay together but see what you can find. When you done stay upstairs. I don't want anyone down there to know how many of us there actually are. Maybe you can find the nest maybe not, but having that many people missing it's got to be somewhere big. If anyone is alive don't let them see you, something is not right here and we need to be careful. I am so not ready to go back to heave my first time out."
"Okay Dean you got it. Let's go guys, be careful and move out."
With that Ketch and the guys go to scout the island. Dean, Sam, and Stan head into the church. Stan takes them downstairs and introduced them to the survivors.
Sam and Dean talked to everyone for a few minutes, then they talked to the kids that got lost. Both kids had scratches and bandages on them so they couldn't tell by looking so Dean had Sam do a reveler spell. It was actually the little girl who was telling on the people. Sam broke the connection between the child and the Vampires. Just to be on the safe side they tested the boy to. He was clear, he wasn't connected to the Vampires. After they were done they went upstairs and waited for Ketch and his team to return. After an hour they finally came back. They all sit down and Ketch gives the boys an update.
" First I need to know are there any more buildings with basements on this island? Because there are not any buildings big enough to hold that many people. Also all of the buildings we went through were completely empty."
"No the only building that has a basement is the church. But there are a few caves on the island, maybe we should check those out."
"I think that would be a good idea. Lets do that tomorrow, I think we should set up a defensive line around this building. There is a storm coming in and it's getting darker. Considering the monsters are different now I want to be ready."
"That is an awesome idea and you make a great point let's go."
So everyone gets out the weapons and other things to strengthen the door and Windows. They also bring in food for the people as well as blankets and heavier clothes for the next few days. Once everyone gets everything done they sit down to wait and watch.
Sorry it's been so long since my last update. I was sick, but I'm doing better now and will get back to regular updates. Enjoy the new chapter.
