Chapter 8 - Chapter 6

Max

I watched as her face fell. Something inside of me broke. I didn't plan on her finding out this way. I love Cassie, but it wasn't enough anymore. It made things worse, because our dads are best friends. We grew up together. I had only left her room for a moment.

When I got back, she was staring at me. I could tell something was wrong with her. I had just gone to put my clothes up, when all hell broke loose. Cassie started accusing me of cheating, and truth be told, I was.

I was messing around with Phoebe, the head cheerleader. She was flirting with me here recently. I told her I was dating Cassie, and she seemed more than ok. I was telling Cassie I had practice, but really I was sneaking off to go be with Phoebe.

When I first started seeing Cassie, I was wary of it. Given our dads, and how we had grown up together. I never thought of her as more than a sister before. Then, I realized I had feelings for her. She told me she had feelings for each other. Everything was fine and good between us. Cas is one of the best girls I have ever been with.

There was so much more than just wanting to make out, and mess around. We talked, no girl has ever wanted to just talk. It was easy with her, too easy, I knew she trusted me. I had to make sure I wouldn't take advantage of her. I had needs of my own though.

The kind I knew Cassie wasn't ready for. I wouldn't force her, I am not that kind of guy. That's when the cheating really began. It was casual at first. Sometimes it was girls from our school. They knew to keep it a secret from Cassie.

It was mainly girls I hooked up with before. I really care about Cas, and I didn't want her to find out. I kept thinking, I am just doing this until Cassie is ready herself. Then, it started turning into something more.

I started having full on conversations with these girls. Then, it started turning into more than that. Eventually, I started looking at Cas differently. I mean it wasn't like she noticed either way. She was always busy, either with work or with school. Cas, stopped making time for me.

I didn't bring it up to her though. What would be the point? She would say how she would make time, but then fall into her routine again. Somehow, someway, so I kept my little secret. That was until I hung back out with Cassie.

She went through my phone. At first, I was relieved, she finally knew the truth. It felt as if a weight had been lifted. My dad knew what I was doing. He just told me to be careful, it was Cassie, he didn't like it at all.

I knew she knew, the moment her eyes met mine when I walked back in. I tried to play it off as casually as I could. Our conversation, I keep replaying over and over in my head.

I saw her break before my eyes. Every. Piece. Of. Her. Disappearing, she wasn't the Cassie I no longer knew. That, that broke me.

Then, here came Damian within the picture. The bastard, he was over there, talking to her. Not that Cassie needed anyone, and besides I still have Phoebe. Not that it mattered, my eyes kept lingering over to her. Cassie. With her beautiful eyes. How they could light up the room.

Her heart. She cares so much about the people she loves. The way she smelled, like a summer breeze, or midnight rain. Midnight Rain, one of her favorite songs by Taylor Swift. I wanted to breathe her in again, to have her in my arms.

I knew it was too late for us to be together. I fucked that up. I didn't know how to fix it. I wanted to fix it. I wanted us to be friends again. I missed her. Everything about her.

Cassie started changing, I could see it. If you hadn't known her, you wouldn't notice it. The way she hung around Damian. Even Kat was changing. Pathetic. Phoebe was always wanting my attention, or making everything about her. Not everything was about her.

I was brought back to the present, when I noticed that Cassie wasn't at school. I was in the hallway, Phoebe standing shy of me. I was leaning against my locker, talking to James.

"Well look who didn't show up today." Phoebe said, snickering to her best friend, Lauren.

"Guess she couldn't show her face." Lauren replied, making a crying face using her hands.

They were both looking over at Kat and Damian. They were talking about Cassie. Of course, Phoebe always had some shit to say about Cassie now.

"Phoebe have you not tried being a bitch for once?"

James covered his mouth with his hand, using a cough as a cover up for his laughter.

Phoebe turned around to me, her shirt riding a little too high.

"Maybe try putting on clothes while you're at it." I interjected before she could say anything.

With her hands on her hips, and glaring at me, Phoebe said, "Have you tried not being obsessed with your ex for one second."

I remarked back, "Have you tried not being obsessed with my ex for a second?"

Phoebe scoffed, flipped her hair over her shoulder, "We are over, come on Lauren." With that Phoebe and Lauren walked away.

I yelled, "At least I won't be dating a bitch anymore." Which got me a few looks from the other students.

I caught up with Kat during lunch. She told me that Cassie wasn't feeling good. After school ended for the day, I went over there. I needed to check up on her. That was until Cassie was being a bitch herself.

I was nervous walking up to Cassie's house. It was only the third time I had been over here since the breakup. I tried to keep my distance. My dad thought it was weird, I just said it would be weird if we were both there. I mentioned that Cassie and I needed time. My dad would be happy I wasn't with Phoebe anymore.

I was excited to see Cassie, to talk to her. I missed her, I needed to hear her voice. It was a need I had never felt before. When she opened the door, I knew she didn't want me there. I was the last person she had expected.

I walked in, I could tell she wasn't herself. She was on edge. Cassie kept looking around, like something was out to get her. She was hiding something. I didn't know it, until she started being a real bitch.

Cassie wasn't a bitch. Phoebe, now Phoebe is a bitch, but Cassie no, she didn't have it in her. I kept thinking who is this Cassie. We were fighting, we didn't fight. Not once, not before we broke up. This, whatever was happening with her was new. I was worried.

When I left her house, I stood outside the front door. I wanted to bang on it, to have her answer to me. I thought about begging for her to tell me. She used to tell me everything. I knew something was wrong. I didn't know what, she wouldn't tell me. I wouldn't force her too.

I glanced up at her window, noticing the curtains moving. She was waiting for me to leave. So, I did, I went and got in my jeep. I drove until I was at the hardware store. I parked around the back, it would be easier to leave. I locked my jeep and headed inside.

When I stormed in, I went to my dad's office. I gave Mr. Brooks a wave on my way in. He was running the cash register. I shut the door behind me. My dad was on the phone.

"No, Mark, you know we can't do that." He said, arguing over the phone.

"We order parts, we sell the parts, sometimes we work on cars. We don't sell cars." My dad spoke to the man over the phone.

He glanced up, noticing me in the room, a fuming mess.

"Hey, Mark, I'll call you back another time. My son just got in here."

Some muttering could be heard through the phone.

"Yep, see you." He hung up the phone, and spun his chair to face me.

"Hello there Maxwell." My dad said, taking his pen, and starting to write on a form.

"I am worried about Cas, dad."

My dad then glanced up at me, "Why?"

"She doesn't seem like herself." I replied. Finally finding a seat in front of his desk.

"Well son, she is sick today, she probably didn't want to see you."

I looked at him, hands gripping the desk, "No dad, something is wrong with Cassie."

I saw him, looking at me over his glasses, "Have you talked to Kevin yet?"

"No." My dad huffed, "Nothing is wrong with her son. Just go about."

In a frustrated voice, "You were no help at all." I got up, and slammed the door behind me.

I could hear my dad yelling for me, but I kept going. Mr. Brooks ran into the office, and I could hear them start to talk.

When Cassie left for school, I followed her. I had called into work that day, telling them I didn't feel well at school. I watched from afar as she went to work from the library. Then, I followed her to the old Mason's Mansion. What was she doing there? It was old and creepy. It was also unsafe.

Maybe Cassie started doing drugs. I was about to find out, and bust her for it too. She needed help, I just didn't know what kind yet. I parked my jeep on the corner, and quietly made my way to an outside window. It was getting dark. I peeked through it with the bushes.

I saw Kat and Damian there too. What was the douchebag doing here? What were they up to? I watched as Cassie started moving her hands, circular motions, and then like magic, sparks came flying. Damian then looked over to where I was hiding.

Did he see me? I watched carefully, as each one of them went through it, disappearing. I started freaking out. What the hell was going on. Tripping out of the bush I was hiding in. I went through the door, I could just see them on the other side.

It started closing, I dove right in. It was the worst feeling you could have too. It felt like my insides became my outsides. Then, I was on the other side.

 Cassie

When we reached the school, I wanted to go over to the training class that was in session. We got there early. I think Damian knows that I secretly love it. Again, I hated the unfairness, but it was interesting seeing all the powers each person had. What they were capable of doing.

I had made a note to add this to my schedule. I needed to learn how to fight, but from watching it alone terrified me. Damian was being weird, he kept glancing around. As if he was expecting someone. However, I stopped paying attention when it was my turn.

Wait, my turn? The teacher was pointing to me. She had wings, I wanted to assume fairy, but at this point I didn't know anymore. I didn't know my powers. I just started to open a portal. They weren't really working for me yet. I made my way to the front of the class.

The teacher then picked out a young girl, she looked to be around my age, maybe younger. We stared at each other, then shook hands. We walked fifty paces away from each other. Then, the teacher blew her whistle, if it felt just like gym glass.

I could feel my heart beating out of my chest, my pulse was racing. I was nervous, I only made lights flicker. Nothing more. How was I supposed to defend myself? I mean sure, one of my classes is helping me. Right now, they are just explaining the basis of our powers, and the dangers we pose to the human world. To ourselves even if we don't know our limits, our control.

I faced her, the girl had a wicked grin on her face. Great. She was going to enjoy this, maybe she could sense my nervousness. After the teacher blew the whistle, the girl started running towards me. She was fast. I watched as she transformed into a wolf midair.

She jumped down right in front of me. Then, she started circling me, like I was her prey. In this case, I indeed was. It felt like my heart was going to explode. I caught Damian and Kat's eye.

Kat gave me a thumbs up, as with Damian he just mouthed to concentrate on me. I took in a breath, and closed my eyes. I called upon the fire that was in me. I felt it, that burning sensation. It went through my veins. I opened my eyes, I looked at the she wolf.

"Let's dance." I said to her, with a slight laugh.

I called fire to my palms, I felt the heat. I looked at it, I was playing with fire, literally. The wolf came charging at me. I began running towards her, throwing fire balls at her. She kept dodging them.

I missed her teeth, by a few inches. She was getting angry, and fast too. She thought it was going to be quick, and easy. What did they say witches could do again? Telepathy.

I focused my thoughts towards her, trying to see how she felt. I opened my eyes, I watched as she stared glass eyed at me. I could hear her thoughts.

She was full of adrenaline, at the same time she was scared. It felt weird, intruding, then, she kicked me out of her mind. I watched as her eyes turned to fury. Uh oh. She was pissed, this wasn't good.

She came charging at me again, so full of agility, and fast too. If I didn't know she was a wolf, to expect it, from afar it doesn't look like she's moving at all. Up close, she's fast, I didn't want to do it anymore. I wanted it to end.

I clenched my fists, and closed my eyes. I wanted this to end, I kept repeating over and over again. I unclenched my fists, and snapped my fingers. When I opened my eyes, the wolf was being pinned to the ground by an unknown force.

I looked at her, then I felt it, my magic was the unknown force. I also noticed I was extremely tall too. I looked down, crap, I was levitating. I started panicking, how did I even do that? I wanted to cry my eyes out.

I let go of the hold I had on the she wolf, she transformed back into her human form, glaring at me. I felt the daggers and death threats within that stare. I carefully lowered myself back down onto the ground. Damian and Kat came running over to me.

"Cas are you ok?" Kat said, patting me around.

"I'm fine, why?"

"You just took down your first werewolf." Damian uttered, glancing me over.

"I took down my first werewolf." I said slowly forming the sentence. I took down my first werewolf, holy cow!

"I think we should celebrate this, let's go to the cafeteria and get something." Kat offered, side hugging Cassie and leading her that way.

"Hey Bitch, I mean Witch," said the wolf I fought earlier. I turned around to face her.

"Let's see how tough you are without your magical powers." With that she transformed again, coming at me, jaws gaping open. She was fixing to bite me. That was until I was knocked out of the way.

"Cassie!" I heard, before hitting the ground, hard. When I got up I saw Max laying on the ground, the she wolf on top of him. Max, he was here. Anger coursed through me, I felt the power returning, and I slung her off of him. I ran to him, bending down.

"Max, what are you doing here?" I whispered to him, tears brimming my eyes. I was holding him. He had a big bite mark on the side of his shoulder.

"Cas, I wanted to make sure you were ok." My heart started breaking.

Then, Max passed out, I could feel his breathing slow. "Max? Max! You better not die on me."

The teacher came rushing over, having somebody pick Max up, and carry him to the infirmary. We all followed after him.

Max

I watched her, Cassie, in amazement, she was so powerful. So, strong, she was different. Everything just blew my mind. I didn't know how I felt. I just watched a girl turn into a wolf, and I watched as Cassie floated into the air.

I wanted to go to her. I watched as Damian watched her. He followed her, I could see it in his movements. I could tell he was anxiously awaiting for her to get down. He was worried, Kat on the other hand was clapping her on, excited.

I kept my distance from behind a building, however, Damian kept glancing around. His gaze landed on me. He returned his gaze back on Cassie. I glared at him, she was my first buddy.

I watched as Cassie came back to the ground. She went over to Damian and Kat, excitedly presenting her on her face.

My attention was caught by the girl who was a werewolf. She went over to her friends, I could feel the anger from where I was. I didn't like how her and her friends kept glancing over at Cassie. I made my way closer.

I couldn't hear what they were talking about, but I could tell it wasn't good. I watched as she made her way over to Cassie. I saw her claws coming out, I started running right towards her, yelling, "Cassie!" As soon as the girl werewolf transformed. I jumped in front of Cassie.

I felt it, her biting me. My shoulder felt like it was on fire. I was burning up. I wanted my clothes to be taken off. I didn't want them on. I need ice cubes, no, an ice bath. No. I could live in Antarctica at that point. I could feel Cassie near me. I couldn't make out what she was saying.

Then, my body started to go cold. I was starting to become numb. Inside, outside of my body. I felt it all, like goosebumps tracing up, and down me. Like it was pricking my skin, a thousand tiny knives stabbing me. Over. And over again. Then, I was out.

I woke up, I was in the hospital. I could hear Cassie near me. I tried getting up, but I couldn't. I looked down, I was strapped down to the table. I couldn't move, but I could hear her. I needed to get to her.

She could tell me everything. I needed Cassie, for some reason I just did. She was the only thing that made sense to me. Then, I saw her, she came into the room with me. I tried to grab her. My hands were still tied.

Cassie bent down to touch my cheek, but when she did, her hand passed through me. What the hell? What was going on? All of a sudden it was pitch black. A light came on, from above, but the rest was pitch black.

There she was, the wolf that bit me. What was she doing here? She was snarling her teeth at me. Then, in my mind, I could hear her.

"Max," I heard her calling out to me. Almost in a trance, I started making my way to her again. When I did, she bit me, again. I wailed, and fell to my knees again. I was shaking. I couldn't stop.

When the pain finally went away, I was staring down. Instead of seeing my legs and arms, all I saw was fur. I was walking, on all fours, and I kept walking. There appeared to be water nearby, I could hear the water. I went to it, when I looked into it, my reflection showed me a wolf.

A wolf? I was a wolf? Not just any wolf, a werewolf, and I was huge. What did this mean? I couldn't be a werewolf, right? I backed away, and I started running. Running for my life, running back to my life. I didn't want this, I still needed to graduate. I was a football star. This couldn't be happening. I kept running.

Cassie

They picked Max up, and left with him to the infirmary. Damian, Kat, and I followed in behind them. They stopped us once they took him to the back. We waited in the lobby. I sat down in the chair, Kat sitting next to me. Holding me in her arms.

She was rubbing my back for me. I was crying on and off. I looked at her, I could feel Kat's sympathy for me. My telepathy was getting stronger, every second. Once I had unlocked a part of my power, it came in waves.

"Cassie, do you want me to go get you something from the vending machine?" Kat asked her, tucking a hair behind her ear.

I shook my head, getting up along with her, "I'll go with you."

Damian spoke up, "Do you want me to go with you?"

I shook my head no at him, "I need you here, in case Max wakes up." He frowned at me, but only nodded in response.

Kat and I made our way down the hall standing in front of the vending machine. As she was looking, I went to lean against the wall across the vending machine. Watching as she chose our snacks. Kat was carefully picking out her snack. She had already picked out my favorite, Skittles, and she was taking her time.

That was Kat though, very thorough, making the right decisions, and thinking everything out clearly. I noticed a bench a little further down the wall. I went to it, and sat down, clasping my hands together. I was twiddling my thumbs. I felt Kat come sit down next to me.

Kat handed me my pack of Skittles, I reluctantly took them from her. I opened them, slowly eating each one. Holding it for a second in my mouth. I looked up, I caught Kat staring at me. I gulped, good thing she also got us sodas too. I was suddenly thirsty.

We both went for our drinks, hands missing each other, but we felt each other's air. We made eye contact. We held it for a moment, before I glanced down at my drink. Taking the cap off, and gulping. It suddenly felt hot there. Why was it so hot?

"Hey, Cas, Max will be okay." Kat said, grabbing my hand.

I became aware of how small her hands were compared to mine. They were so soft too, and I can almost smell the vanilla lotion that she uses on them. I took notice of how she held my hands, so gentle with them. I looked up at her, eyes furrowing together.

"How do you know that Kat?"

She held up her hand and waved it, making another snack fall down the vending machine. "I'm a witch, remember." Kat said with a small laugh.

I noticed the dimples within her smile, it deepened as she smiled harder. I looked at her lips, so pink, so beautiful. I felt my heart start to pound in my chest. Now, Kat caught me staring at her. Uh oh.

"I am a witch too, you know." I said, trying to change the mood.

"I know," Kat said, still staring at me, her eyebrows furrowing together.

"Cas, there's something I think you should know." Kat began to say, but was interrupted by Damian.

"Cassie, Max is awake." Damian stopped, taking the scene of our hands.

I let go of Kat's hands, and stood up. I fixed my outfit, and started to head over to Max's room. I carefully knocked.

"Come in," I heard in a raspy voice.

I walked in, I took one look at Max, and busted out in tears. I had kept the door a jar. I was at his bedside table.

"I'm so sorry, I thought I was protecting you."

"I know," Max replied, he had a bruise on his eye. His shoulder was tightly bandaged.

"You were an idiot. What were you thinking of following us here?" I said, gently pushing him.

"You were hiding something from me Cassie. I needed to know."

"No, you didn't need to know." I replied, rolling my eyes at him.

"But I did." He said, coughing.

I watched him, scrunching up my nose, "I guess I should explain."

"Yeah, you should." Max replied, laying back, closing his eyes.

"Well, I am not going to if you are just going to fall asleep." I said.

"I'm not going to sleep, just resting my eyes for a minute."

"Max, that is literally going to sleep."

He opened one eye up at me, "No it's not." Max closed his eyes again.

I sighed, "I found out I was a witch."

Max opened his eyes, "That's what that was back there?"

I nodded, "Yes, and the girl, she's a werewolf. There are different mythical magical creatures here."

Max cocked his head at me, "What about zombies?"

I laughed at him, "I don't know, it's a possibility."

His eyes widened, Max was afraid of zombies, even though he would never admit it. When we were younger and we watched apocalypse movies, he was always nervous when the zombies came on. He was prepared in case they ever attacked. It didn't occur to me that they could be real in this world, given that everything else is.

"Kat is also a witch, but she was meddled into it."

"Meddled?" He questioned me.

"Yeah, she got involved with magic."

"And what about you, did you get involved with magic?"

I thought about it, no I didn't. What did that mean? "No, it just kind of happened to me."

"So, you're saying you already had these powers?"

"Yeah, I think they mentioned I was a born witch." I started to recall our earlier conversations.

I never really thought much into what a borned witch meant. I was like this, genetics, it was already in my DNA. Which meant either my mother, or father had some witch, or wizard in the family. I was staring off into space, because Max was snapping his fingers at me.

"I thought you went to another place or something." He said, settling back into his bed.

"I kind of did."

A look of horror crossed his face, and I couldn't help but laugh at it.

"Anything else I should know?" He asked, casually picking at his covers.

"Right, Damian is a demon, and his eyes glow."

Max's head shot up, "For real?"

I nodded, with a laugh, "For real."

About that time, we could hear knocking on the door. It was Kat and Damian coming in. Kat gave Max a shy wave, and Damian crossed his arms. He was standing at the door. Kat had brought him a hershey's kiss, one of his favorites.

"I didn't know if you could have it yet, but I got you one for when you can." Kat said, smiling at him and setting it on the table next to him.

I was watching her, how she carefully held his hand. A spark of jealousy went through me. She was so gentle with everyone, and so kind. Right about that time Damian stepped forward. He put a hand on my shoulder, and smiled at me. I gave him a small smile.

I glanced over at Max, who was giving Damian the death glare. I chuckled at them, which made everyone turn their eyes on me. I only shrugged my shoulders at them. No need to explain out loud somethings. Kat and Max were getting caught up.

"Yeah, Phoebe and I broke up." He told her, which caught Cassie's attention.

"You broke up with her?" I asked, Kat and Damian giving me a look.

"She was being a real bitch when she found out you were sick. I didn't like it." Max said, staring me in the eyes.

I felt my heart jump, but not like how it is used too when he held my hand. It was different, like it was before we got together. Before our feelings got involved, when Max was just my best friend. I held onto his hand.

"I'm glad, she was a horrible person."

"I know," Kat said, rolling her eyes. We all laughed.

We were then interrupted by a pack of wolves. Mike stepped into the room, and he walked over to Max.

"Hello, I am Mike, Alpha of the Midnight Walkers pack."

"What's up?" Max asked, giving us a glance.

"We are here to officially invite, and announce you to our pack."

"What pack?" Max asked, still giving us a glance.

Oh. Cassie caught onto why they were here, and yet Max hadn't yet. It didn't take a genius to figure out what was happening. Max was bitten by a werewolf. Werewolves were known from their infectious bite. Get bitten by one, you become one.

It also made sense what the wolf had said to Cassie earlier, right before she tried to bite her. She was going to try to turn Cassie into a wolf. It was all making sense now. Especially with Mike being here. Cassie didn't know he was an Alpha though.

Cassie looked over at one of the wolves that had come with Mike. He was staring at her, intently. What was his deal?

"Our pack, the wolves man." Mike said.

Max was still looking puzzled, Cassie spoke, "Max you were bitten by a werewolf, they have an infectious bite." Raising her eyebrows at him.

"Ok, so wolves have infectious bites, that's why I am getting treated here right?" Concern creeping into his voice.

Cassie sucked in a breath, "No Max, you were turned into a werewolf then you passed out.

Max froze, Cassie knew that look. It was one of the thoughts she had in her own head about finding out she was a witch. That her normal human life would be over with. She grabbed his hand.

"Max everything will be okay."

In a deep voice Max said, "I need everyone out, NOW!" Everyone got up and left besides Mike. He stayed behind with him.

Cassie paused in the door, watching them. Mike handed Max something, it was a piece of paper. She caught the last bit before her attention turned elsewhere, "this is your schedule."

Cassie heard hollering and watched as Damian and the Headmistress started to argue. The Headmistress then led him to a private room. You could hear hollering, but couldn't make out what they were saying.

She went over to where Kat was. "Can you hear anything?"

"No, you?" Cassie gave her a puzzled look.

"Why would I be able to hear anything?"

"We're witches, we can do anything. Can we try a spell?" Kat suggested.

That wasn't too bad of an idea, but Cassie hadn't had her incantation class and spells yet. They just started to learn to pronounce their words correctly. Cassie nodded at Kat.

"Furhearterder," Kat spoke, and suddenly they could hear their conversation.

"What do you think you are doing Mr. Hayes, deliberately aiding a human into our world?"

Kat and I exchanged looks, Damian knew Max was here? He helped Max get here?

"I have no clue what you are talking about." Damian said, casually.

"Don't play games with me boy. I know everything that goes on here." The Headmistress said, disapprovingly.

"You want me to say it? Fine, I may have let the humans be thorough, but it wasn't by my doing. It was Cassie's portal."

"Yet you didn't come to me immediately knowing he was in our world. Look what has happened!"

"Humans get bit all the time by wolves, it's how there's more of them."

The Headmistress scoffed, "I beg your pardon, we do not get to pick and choose who are wolves."

"I didn't peg him to be a wolf."

"But you did let him into our world."

"Mostly, yes, but he was following Cassie around. He would've found out eventually. I know how hard everything has been on her."

"Everything?"

"Come on Headmistress, you know everything that happens around here, remember."

The conversation was cut off by the Headmistress leaving, frustratingly. Once she was gone Cassie made her way over to Damian, angrily.

Pointing her finger at him, "You knew he was here. You knew he was here, and you didn't warn me to protect him. You didn't protect him."

"Did you eavesdrop on a private conversation Cassie?" Damian asked, buffing up.

She didn't like it. Not one bit. "I was concerned, but now I am glad. You put my friend in jeopardy."

Damian squared off with her, "No. Your friend put himself in jeopardy when he idiotically leaped through a portal when he had no clue."

"He was just trying to protect me, unlike you."

Damian scoffed, "You have no idea who is protecting who here."

"What's that supposed to mean?" She asked him.

"Nothing." Damian said, and he walked away.

Cassie turned around, there was the wolf from earlier. She went over there to him.

"Do I know you?" She asked him.

"No, you don't but I know you." He said.

Cassie began to start asking questions, but Mike called for them to leave. She watched as the answer to her many forming questions began to disappear. How did he know her? Most importantly, where did he know her from, because she has never seen him a day in her life.

Max was free to go. Leaving them to head back, and open the portal. Kat, Cassie, and Max made their way back into the human world.
