Wei Chengfeng was known for his determined nature, which Su Li fully understood. If she left him to create a commotion in the middle of the night, wouldn't it disturb all the neighbors as well?
Left with no other choice, Su Li reluctantly opened the door.
"Come in."
Wei Chengfeng flashed inside, and Su Li shut the door. As she looked up, she met Wei Chengfeng's gaze.
"What's so urgent that it couldn't wait until morning? Also, how did you find this place?" Su Li asked in a calm and indifferent tone.
Wei Chengfeng didn't answer her, but instead stared intently at her swollen cheek for a long while before reaching out to gently touch it.
"You didn't say you were..."
Su Li frowned and stepped back to avoid his touch. "Say what? Did you even ask me?"
"I—I didn't know you were hurt."
It was already excruciating when he heard from others, but seeing her swollen cheek in person made Wei Chengfeng's heart ache as if it were being clutched tightly.
"Does it hurt?"
