(A/N: katara and sokka on a boat fishing)
.
"Ouch!" Sokka suddently winced and grabbed his head.
.
"Sokka? What happened?" Katara asks noticing her brother's weird, out of the blue, split second long, headache.
.
"This random bunch of knowledge just got shoved into my head..." Sokka answered, still lightly massaging his head. "It seems a higher beeing was bored and decided to give me powers from a diferent universe."
.
Katara gave sokka a dry look.
.
"Ok Sokka, I told you that fish was rotten! Next time, hear me out and don't go arround eating spoiled food again! Got that?"
.
Katara continued to berate her brother for beeing an idiot, but Sokka tuned her out for a moment and picked up his boomerang, looking at it for a second, he considered the knowledge he just got.
.
Sokka let go of his head and closed his eyes in focus for a moment, feeling the force that exists in all things.
.
'Everything is conected.' Sokka thought. 'All that is, all that exists, everything is just small parts of a bigger whole. My boomerang is a part of the universe, just like I am. In that sense, there is no diference between us, I am it and it is me.
.
We are all one. We are all the universe. We are all... the force.' (A/N: i know it is "i am WITH the force and the force is WITH me", but i prefer "i AM the force, and the force IS me". Just chalk it up to the higher beeing's having an AU version of star wars in their dimension or something :P )
.
Sokka then moved, not his own body, but the boomerang in his hand.
.
Sokka did it as easily as if it was a part of his own body. Because in a way, it realy was.
.
Katara went silent as the boomerang started to float a few inches from Sokka's palm.
.
"Ok..." Sokka opened his eyes to see the floating boomerang. "So it either realy WAS the fish and I am hallucinating. Or... am I actualy making my boomerang float right now?!" Sokka nervously asked his sister for clarification.
.
Katara however just stared. Completly gobsmacked.
.
Katara's thoughts raced through her mind, trying to process what she was seeing.
.
Katara was a water bender, she understood beeing able to move things without touching them, but her brother was obviously not a water bender, as his boomerang was not made out of water, boomerang bending was also not a thing, as the only bending forms that existed were water, earth, fire and air, her brother was obviously not a fire bender and water bender was already ruled out, that left earth and air, but she also heard that earth benders can't bend metal and with Sokka's boomerang beeing completly made out of metal, that only left one option.
.
"YOU'RE AN AIR BENDER?!"
.
Katara screamed in her brother's face as soon as she snaped out of her trance. Breaking her brother's focus in the process and causing the boomerang to drop back into his hand.
.
"What?! NO!" Sokka shot back.
.
"BUT IT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE! IT EXPLAINS WHY YOU ARE SUCH AN AIR HEADED WEIRDO!" Katara started shaking him by the colar, trying to get him to confess to the most logical(not) explanation.
.
"KATARA! ARE YOU EVEN LISTENING TO YOURSELF RIGHT NOW?!"
.
(A/N: cue aang's iceberg breaking due to katara's outburst)

Sokka will have both jedi and sith powers. The generational avatar always speak of balance, but they only fight for order(light) just like the jedi do, and given how we see jedi beeing pulled to the dark side and sith beeing pulled to the light, i think the force is kinda telling the force users that the right thing is to not be on either extreme(this is my take, but the dark side of the force represents emotions and the light side represents logic(this much is canon, as far as i know). Thing is that pure emotion just makes you a dumb rampaging animal, and pure logic just makes you a dumb souless rock(no, not even a machine! As droids in star was are shown to have feelings and personalities)! Sentient life is precisely the midpoint of those 2 extremes: an animal with a brain, a machine with a heart! IF jedi were truly full logic and no emotion whatsoever, then why do they save people? They know they will eventualy die of old age anyway, so what's the point? Same for the siths: how could they ever know how to run an empire and why it would benefit the siths if they only know emotion and hold no logic?! In the end, no one is ever at either extreme! Everyone exist somewhere in the middle, and the force tryes to tell that to people but they just don't get the memo!)

.
Sokka will kill, on the idea that he is ok with dirting his hands if it means keeping his friend's(aang's) clean, he will convince aang that killing IS necessary in the war, but he will keep his pacifist friend from doing the deed himself. If the avatar needs someone dead, aang will just capture the someone and give them to sokka, sokka will be the one finishing the job that aang is too averse to doing himself. That will be a big part of their teamwork
.
.
.
Sokka will have a BIG change in personality when he gets his powers for the first time(i hate og sokka's personality), and will teach the force's philosophy to his friends(that philosophy will even help them with their bending, even if sokka is no bender himself). I am REALY looking forward to having mc interact with iroh XD
