"Why did you choose this hilltop?" Thira asked.
"It's obvious," Aske replied. "If we chose the hill behind us, the view of the battlefield might be blocked by this one."
"We've embarrassed ourselves again," Miel muttered under her breath.
Thira ignored her; after all, these were things that needed to be clarified. So she continued to question the Squad Leader:
"You haven't been to the hill behind this one, so how do you know for sure that the view would be blocked? Did you use the height and distance to calculate the overlooking angle? Then how do you precisely determine the height and distance? Visually speaking, the perception of depth can cause errors in height estimation, right..."
"Why do you have to make it so complicated?" Aske asked, puzzled. "I said it's just 'possible' that it could be blocked."
"'Possible'..." Thira was somewhat speechless.
"Right," Aske explained to her, "it's a matter of what you'd call a margin of error."
