Chapter 5 - Fight between Gods

Boom!

A hole was created in the wall by the impact. Splinters of black and white matter flew around, one of them slightly cutting my arm.

A drop of golden blood fell down, and as it touched the ground, runes appeared, spreading all around the room.

Bright light covered us, as my "Descending Star" activated. It was one of my high level techniques and should not be underestimated.

A little sphere of white light fell down with amazing speed and force. As it descended, a gigantic explosion occurred. The other gods were sent flying, while the palace we were in disappeared. Dust floated in the air from the matter that had been destroyed and I got a clear look on the landscape outside the castle.

Under me was a big crater, that almost destroyed half of this planet. It regenerated fastly though and only after a few milliseconds, four people appeared in front of me.

"Not bad. You're really strong. But did you think you can just kill us with this amount of strength?" The God of Light said mockingly.

I just laughed and answered him: "Hahaha, of course not. Even though you're not as powerful as I am, you're undoubtedly strong. I wouldn't dare underestimate you. But I can tell that you have a plan. I don't know it, but I'll surely find it out later."

A smile appeared on the gods' faces. They didn't say anything but just attacked me.

One appeared behind me, while one of them came from the front. I evaded both strikes, only to be greeted by another fist. It me directly hit me onto the nose.

I was flung backwards by its power. I could stabilize myself and stopped myself from crashing into the fourth god who had been waiting for me there.

I parried a punch of his and stretched out my arm until my palm touched the god's chest. A black shimmer began to surround him, as I used "Desolate Force".

I tightened my grip and my fingers started to pierce into his skin. I could feel the bones and wanted to pull out one of them, when I suddenly felt a presence appear behind me.

I was able to turn around just in time. It was the God of Light that had his fist swinging at me. I held the god, who I tightly gripped, before me, intending to block the punch with him as a shield.

The attacking god noticed his comrade and let the power of his technique exit his body and spread through his surroundings. A wall of white light formed and sent waves of wind that pushed me back.

"Desolate Force" was fully executed and let the god in my hand fly backwards into the God of Light. His body exploded in midair. Golden blood rained down and pieces of flesh fell down onto the ground.

I knew that this wasn't the end of the god's life. I had to use my heavenly ranked techniques.

Just as I thought, all the pieces that were laying on the ground got together again and formed the God of Fire.

I heard rumbling. The balance of this planet was already getting out of order. Dark smoke began to cover the sky. It was because all the volcanos on Nemaha were going wild and erupted like crazy.

"Go and help the others preparing the technique. We need to quickly form it. If we don't succeed in time, our master will kill us." The God of Light had an anxious expression, when he looked at his fellow disciple.

"No I'll fight! Let me stay. Alone you have no chance." The God of Fire retorted.

"Fine, but make it..."

A female voice interrupted the second strongest god: "Master, let me come to tour aid."

It was the Goddess of Wind that hurried over. She pointed at the fiery person in front of me and continued: "I'll fight him! I should be able to manage this trash."

"Who fo you call trash?" The God of Fire roared and started to attack.

I didn't have the time to look at their battle, since I had an opponent too. I looked at the white haired man with a calm expression.

I needed to kill him as fast as possible to stop the others from activating the technique they'd just talked about. I would also use heavenly ranked skills.

I used "God's Power", a technique created by myself.

The dark clouds dissipated in that instant and a fireball bigger than Nemaha materialized. It fell down, quickly gaining speed. Heat began to radiate.

The two other gods flew away, probably onto another planet. The God of Light though, was standing there motionless. Then he raised his arm.

"Devour it!" He muttered.

White light rose from his palm and started to slowly cover the fireball. And in the next moment, the sphere disappeared. Therefore, a terrifying aura emanated from my disciple.

He had used "Devourer", a skill that would turn almost anything into energy and infuse it into the user's body. This certainly was a bad technique to deal with.

The God of Light laughed frantically as his power rose.

He swung down his hand while activating "Ancient Palm". A white hand formed above me and descended.

It was too quick and I couldn't react. A devastating might pushed onto me. I was being pressed against the earth. I erected a barrier, so that I wouldn't be hurt too much.

After the palm dissipated, stood up again. I had bruises sall over my body, but fortunately nothing bad happened.

I charged at the man in front of me, putting all my strength into the punches I threw. He blocked or dodged all of them.

Suddenly, while still deeply immersed in the battle, my head began to ache. Why did it need to come now? The headache appeared at the worst possible moment.

It grew stronger and stronger. Soon I couldn't suppress the pain anymore and fell down on my knees, screaming in agony. The pain felt like it would tear me apart at any moment.

I knew the reason why this happened. It was because the soul of the original owner was still inside me and hadn't dissolved yet. Now he wanted to take back his body and as a result I got this headache.

The God of Light didn't know what happened, but used this opportunity to strike back.

He began launching his fists at me. He used one of his stronger techniques. That's why I got injured by his every strike.

Even though I was in such a miserable state, I started to fight back and soon the headache subsided again. I immediately regained my former might.

But before I could do more, three gods appeared by the God of Light's side. It were the God of Fire, the God of Earth and the Goddess of Water.

They were all covered in a mysterious light. I hadn't seen this technique before. Could it be that they had specially made this skill to win against me? It certainly was a possibility.

The white haired man touched the three of them and also started to glow. Next, they all pointed at me.

And just like that I felt my power fading away.
