Wayne Lane let out an indistinct chuckle in response.
"Childish." Hannah, annoyed, retracted her hand and walked two steps behind him, no longer paying him any attention.
Not hearing any movement from behind, Wayne Lane looked back to ensure that Hannah was still following before continuing forward.
The corridors of the inn were long, somewhat reminiscent of those old tube-shaped buildings, and still fitted with those old-fashioned sound-activated lights.
Perhaps due to age, several of the sound-activated lights weren't very sensitive; they would flicker even without any noise, which made them particularly eerie.
Hannah, however, seemed unafraid and looked around. "Professor Lawrence didn't really send us to some shady place, did he?" she muttered softly.
It wasn't entirely out of the realm of possibility.
After all, every planet has its own rules, but planets like Bruce's that had declared their allegiance to the Empire were generally safe.
