"Ha!!!" Luz struck out air from her staff, hitting away a Demon but it did nothing more than keep him on the ground for a few seconds. She and the rest of them had gotten unlucky and had been detected by a group of ten Demons. Luz casted her Rainbow Arc attack, throwing a diagonal slice of multicolored magic at him but one inhalation from the Demon and the attack had been incinerated by fire that came out from its mouth.
"Nope!" Luz got on her staff and flew off into the air, thinking she was safe. She looked from above and could see the others were struggling as well.
Kuro formed his Tundra God's Sword and threw a strike at a Demon but his opponent used their incredible to move away on time, leading to the Snow Caster striking nothing but the ground. The Demon appeared behind him with elongated nails, ready to throw a strike.
"Ayato!!" Luz warned from above as he was a bit free at the moment.
"Huh?" He looked up but then caught a glance of Kuro's fight and turned to his direction. "Fire Casting: Flame Chain!!" Ayato casted and he used it to grab a hold of the Demon who threatened Kuro. Then using all the strength he could muster, he pulled back, dragging him into the air.
"Serena!! Heads up!!" Serena had been jumping from one place to another using her Strength Suit Spell and used her leg to kick the Demon even higher into the air and to where the Picture Caster floated above ready to give the final supportive action.
The Color Caster recited, "Color Casting: Frame Work!" She opened up a large frame, taking the hurdling Demon into her Color Kingdom which would leave him in a state of confusion for a while hopefully.
"That's it!" Serena kicked a Demon in Kuro's direction like a ball and he reacted, banging his sword against their head. "We need to work together!" She didn't know why but the Demons acted and fought in a strange way. They never talked, adapted their strategy or even looked like they thought for themselves. What was even strange was the constant mist of orange in their eyes that made them look like zombies so it made it easier for them to use a single working strategy because they wouldn't think of a counter strategy. They were like puppets, she thought.
Luz floated a bit closer to Kuro's location and opened up her Frame Work again, trapping another one. "This can actually work!"
Ayato used his Tornado Spell, spinning a Demon into the air that Kuro sent an Ice Shard through their leg and Serena punched them towards the ocean. It went on for a while with the friends either incapacitating the Demons, putting them into the Frame Work and bringing them out knocked out or simply tossing them into the ocean. For a while now, they were doing well until they were at their last Demon.
For this one, they came together to take him out in four v. one brawl. Luz sent a Rainbow Arc at him but he blocked with his forearms, barely doing any damage to an attack that wouldn't do much against him anyway. So the Mech Caster helped, creating firm wires that she used to tie the man's arms together and gave the boys an opportunity to give him a good beating and they did until the man was finally knocked unconscious and thrown in the ocean.
"Yeah!" They celebrated their victory, fistbumping each other like they did with their Magic Theory project but their success was shortlived when they all sensed something that put them on alert.
'No. You gotta be kidding me.' Demons carrying weapons were heading in their location fast. The ones they had defeated so far were a lower classed division of soldiers. Those ones only had spears but the ones heading towards them were carrying all kinds of weapons and were at a higher Stage of Power.
"We can't take them. There's gotta be at least a hundred!" Kuro panicked and the others were too. They wouldn't be able to hide from them because they would be able to track them down easily. Luz was thinking about using her Frame Work for them to hide out in the Color Kingdom with Serena boosting her power with one of her Spells so they could hide out for a while.
"Color Casting:..." She stopped chanting when she heard running but it wasn't coming from the front. Instead, it was coming from behind them and they weren't Demons but Casters. Turning around, the group of friends saw the army coming from behind them and instantly recognized what they were wearing. A single person jumped above the army, landing in front of them with their chestplate glowing and their face was confident.
"Students, stay behind me!" Takino warned as the Demons finally came into view. His boots released a pulse of energy as the Demons at the front felt a surge of power go through their body and suddenly, they were frozen in place. The Spair Leader formed a large sphere in his hand made out of clouds and placed it around the place, trapping them within it. "Everyone, attack!" His army ran forward, the clouds parting way for them as they engaged in battle with the Demons, slaughtering them.
Luz' eyes beamed up and so did the rest of them, "The Leader of the Spair Family!" Takino flashed a smile with his eyes sparkling that made most of them blush just a bit. He too went out into battle against who he figured were the toughest out of the Demons who remained outside the Cloud Field.
"Cloud Casting: Fog God's Sword!" Takino striked, killing dozens of them in a single hit and injuring a few others. This gave the Casters time to rest and recover as they moved over to a safe location. The Spair Family Leader truly outmatched every single one of the Demons he went against and that added to his ever growing ego. He was beating every Demon with less than three hits to their bodies and they were dropping like flies.
"I could do this all da-" He swung against someone who didn't look like the other Demons and they held the Fog Sword in their hand with an incredible grip, preventing him from swinging it so he seized the Spell, "Oh, you're one of those uh, Akumas, right?"
The Akuma in front of him was the fifth one and looked like the others with the exception of the silver Akuma gem on its chest.
"You are correct." Akuma Silver spoke with a male voice, his eyes glowed silver as something impossible happened. Every single piece of armor that was on Takino's body had been replicated perfectly, appearing on the Akuma's body. The Leader moved back in slight shock before throwing out a condensed ball of clouds but it was met by a strike from a sword but not just any sword, a large one made out of clouds. Silver's special ability was unlike the others. His was much more powerful, the ability to copy the abilities and weaponry of his opponents.
Silver's sword unexpectedly struck through and dispersed the Leader's own before sticking his hand out and chanting, "Fog God's Cage!" His eyes sparkled a bit more as the human sized cage had been formed. Takino's arm sparked with a kind of electrical power and he used it to strike against the Spell, destroying it with a touch. But he had no idea that his opponent was already charging up something he couldn't stop.
As he broke out, he saw the chestplate on the Akuma's body pulse. He was using its magic aspect, a powerful ability he couldn't escape from as it had already been fully activated. "Oh, shi.." Takino was hit by a golden blast of magic, turning him into a statue made out of gold which he would remain as for the next ten minutes.
"No!!" The group had seen from afar.
