The church bells rang, echoing through the town.
Cheers and chatter were heard even from afar as people talked about the upcoming celebration.
Flower petals were scattered on the ground as several children were carrying baskets full of them.
"They really made the wedding public," Joseph whispered in amusement as he looked at the surroundings.
"Yeah, I thought they would make it private," Gastone replied as he shook his head.
Gastone couldn't believe that he would work with one of Lucia's admirers, but he swallowed his pride to prevent Lucia from making a mistake.
However, Gastone was conflicted with himself. First, Giselle, who was Daco's long lost mother was in the human world, abusing children and making money out of them. Then Giselle was targeting Lucia, one of the children who had escaped.
Gastone would have killed Giselle if she were just an ordinary human with no connections with him, but she wasn't.
