Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 Mist Council

The huge, bloated, ugly figure finally fell, and as it collapsed, the chilling air around it also dissipated. It seemed as though something had shattered, and beams of golden light from the Golden Bridge scattered in brilliant warmth through the gaps in the leaves.

Kane basked in the golden light, and his exhausted magic and fatigued body quickly rejuvenated. The coma plant infused with it slowly turned to ashes.

A wisp of white mist suddenly appeared in the air, which was the envoy of the world. It circled Kane once and then dispersed back into the air.

What remained was the reward for the first clear of the Mist, and the notification that Kane could leave at any time.

Kane watched the mist appear and disappear suddenly, looking at the white round badge in his hand, without any pattern, only the slowly drifting white mist ribbon atop it signifying its extraordinary nature.

No idea how high the equipment grade is, certified by the major players of the world, an equipment attribute that accompanies you forever, a requirement that only you can fulfill.

Kane did not hesitate and pinned the badge inside his lining; if not for the fear of disrespecting the world, he might have pinned it next to his brother.

Soothe the excited mood.

Now is the time to claim his spoils of victory.

Arriving at the location where the tree root monster's corpse dissipated, he snapped his fingers to disperse the spider silk turned steel spear.

Three glowing items lay on the ground. He carefully picked them up, inspecting each.

A brown cloth band adorned with green patterns, better than nothing, immediately tied to the left arm.

The last one, also the most flamboyant in appearance.

[Introduction: A weapon molded by the fusion of fury against the sky and a wooden staff]

Two meters in length, the wooden shaft marked with black spirals, green light and black energy intertwined above. The spearhead shaped like white jade, with scarlet patterns in the middle, both contradictory and harmonious with the shaft.

The attributes and appearance were perfect, also accompanied by a skill.

Kane wielded the spear, stabbing and spinning at intervals, unable to let it go.

This man's new toy had surfaced.

Meanwhile, outside the cave where Kane had disappeared

The surrounding trees had vanished, revealing a small clearing with tent tops arranged all around.

This place had already become a campsite, with a flag standing in the middle.

Against a black background, a closed gate was drawn, with 18 stars on the door frame, surrounded by mist.

This was the world's largest force, representing the world's order, the Mist Council.

Inside the cave, three figures conversed.

A burly figure dressed in an open leather jacket asked the figure next to him, "Do you think a new Mist Warrior will emerge this time?"

The slender tall figure in elegant hunt gear scratched his head, thought for a moment, and said, "Every year, there are 6 to 9 new dungeons, with around 2 typically being Copper Dungeons. These newbie dungeons entice people of similar levels to open them. When they find the clear objective, they give them the option to leave."

The burly figure nodded, "Indeed, most unfortunate ones die due to hostile creatures in the dungeons before discovering the objective. The remaining lucky ones choose to return after finding the goal. Not to mention, even ordinary people are lured into the Copper Dungeons."

At this point, the elder who had not yet spoken suddenly said, "You two idiots, is now really the time to think about such foolish questions? The key issue is that a dungeon has appeared at the world's edge; you can even glimpse the mist here. What does this mean? Surely, you must know."

Though reprimanded by the elder, neither of the two had any intention of retorting, standing respectfully upright and bowing to the elder, "Yes, teacher, we will immediately go investigate the surrounding area."

Having said that, the two disappeared from where they stood, the elder's expression unchanged, suggesting he was used to such occurrences.

"Alas,"

The elder suddenly sighed, talking to himself, "The wheel of the world's will has started to turn, and the blood-soaked wars and trapped souls will stain the land once more. Who will be the one to pioneer the Mist?"

As the elder muttered to himself, the outside began to stir.

The flag of the Mist Council in the middle of the field began to flutter without wind, and as it waved, the busy figures around began to pause and observe. Among them, a middle-aged man wearing a council uniform shouted, "Go quickly to that cave and inform President Gordon."

"No need, Nando, I'm already here," Gordon appeared behind the middle-aged Nando, patting his shoulder, revealed to be the elder from the cave.

The sudden appearance startled Nando visibly, who sighed, "Could you not be so sudden, President."

Gordon paid him no heed, quietly watching the flag instead.

"Teacher," said the two who had just exited the cave, not far away, who had hurried over upon hearing the news and stood silently behind Gordon.

The flag standing at the campsite's center not only represented the Mist Council but also functioned as magic equipment.

[Eye of the Door]

[Flag]

[Color: Silver White]

[Attributes: Perception Reaction - Dungeon]

[Introduction: Claimed by the research department - Magic Institute of the Mist Council as their independent research, though the Forging Department disagrees]

The waving flag began to emit ripples of magic, following which the image of the closed door on the flag began to change.

The closed door on the flag slowly opened, with the mist scene behind it rolling and stirring, seemingly real.

An eye appeared and disappeared behind the door.

The mist solidified, and a sword suddenly appeared in the middle of the opened door, and then the flag ceased to change, its magical aura slowly fading away.

Seeing this, the onlookers let out exclamations, followed by a burst of intense discussion.

"It seems a new Mist Warrior has been born," said the slender, tall figure dressed in hunting gear, standing to Gordon's left, with a sigh.

"Indeed, and still one who had never explored a dungeon before," said the burly figure with his shirt open, exposing his chest.

Gordon stomped the ground with his magic staff and said loudly, "Alright, everyone back to work. It's about to get busy here." Then, he turned to Nando and said, "I need to send this news to the council. The work here is up to you."

Nando saluted respectfully, "Don't worry, President." Then he moved into the crowd to organize the work.

"You two come with me," said Gordon before heading for the cave, the two following closely behind.
