Ruby galloped across the barren wastelands wildly.
The wind pulled her luscious fur back, and her paws left indentations in the ground.
Despite this, Cain managed to remain perfectly seated on her back. Sue cluctched onto his waist, her face plastered with horror as she tried not to get flung off violently.
'This is the worst.' She though to herself, shutting her eyes tight.
As the beast beneath them galloped towards the land bridge that divided the chasms, the forces of Devils on the other side seemed intent, on shooting them down before they could reach their goal.
A bullet whizzed by her cheek, forcing an unwitting scream from her mouth. Things could have turned out worse, but Cain relief on his incredible vision and foresight to maneuver Ruby such that no attack would land on them.
However, regardless of how good his vision was, when there were so many to dodge at once, the odds of even one successfully making contact was rather high.
