Chapter 476 - Chapter 134: The Fool's simple knowledge

'Mr Fool will give information?' Any pessimism that plagued her was forgotten. Audrey raised her head and could barely keep from smiling.

It had been a while since they had received lessons and teachings from the mysterious existence that was the leader of this club.

'And any information coming from such a mysterious existence will always be interesting and worthwhile!' Adding happily in her heart, Audrey quickly went right in.

"Mr Fool, what is the price for this information?"

While he had said it was general, she didn't feel it proper to receive them without paying something in return. She had to at least say she was willing to pay.

"No need." The Fool Klein laughed a bit, "It's simple knowledge.

"As the person in charge of the Tarot Club, and after hearing what Mr Chariot said. I feel it is necessary to let you all know about this. Of course, I'm sure some of you are already aware of this."

He was not only saying this for his fellow man, but also for the Sun. The City of Silver had a history of over 2,000 years of living and fighting in eternal darkness and against endless monsters. It was impossible for them not to be aware of the beyonder laws.

'I'm not entirely sure if Mr Hanged Man knows about this. Same with Miss Magician, but considering she's under Joa's care, it's pretty sure she does... Well, she's in a delicate situation, which I'm the only one capable of helping her, so impressing her with my image isn't necessary...' Lampooning a bit, Klein leaned back in his chair and rested his cheek on two fingers.

"What Mr Chariot has just explained is one of the three beyonder laws that govern the world. More specifically, the Law of Beyonder Characteristics Indestructibility..."

For a moment, Klein paused, a wave of melancholy washing over him for an instant.

'Without realizing it, I used the captain's tone...' The corners of his lips unconsciously curled upward.

Audrey repeated a few times in her mind, a shiver passing through her body.

Just in case, her gaze subtly moved around the other members, but as she already expected, none showed any reaction.

At that point, Klein continued, "After a Rampager dies, they will leave behind an item of Beyonder Characteristics. It could be the main ingredient, or it could be a mystical artifact that requires sealing. An ordinary Beyonder's death results in similar results. However, the item left behind will be equivalent to the corresponding potion without the supplementary ingredients. Of course, the item alone will contain Beyonder powers. They can be used as a half-mystical object."

As she had already heard Chariot's explanation, the shock of hearing the revelation was already extinguished. But still, Audrey could not help praising the gracious Mr. Fool.

'His explanation is much richer and deeper, it even includes how sealed artifacts are created...'

Klein was already expecting the reaction from the rest of the members, so he continued calmly, "The second law- Law of Similar Sequence Beyonder Characteristics Conservation."

'Law of Similar Sequence Beyonder Characteristics Conservation...' The Hanged Man Alger slightly changed his sitting posture. He felt that he understood something, but he was unable to fully understand what this law represented and what it consisted of.

Justice shared the same feeling. She was unable to understand the true meaning of this law.

Sun Derrick watched and listened attentively, as if it were a class from his school days. He was the pupil, and the Fool was the kind teacher who taught the less experienced and guided them to be able to face danger in the future.

He had already heard about the second law. All the members of the City of Silver were aware of it, stemming from an incident that had occurred years ago...

The former Chief, a powerhouse who had the greatest possibility of breaking past the limitations of Demon Hunter, had built a mausoleum for himself and went deep inside, making it his home.

Afterwards, he appeared less and less, until the main door of the mausoleum could no longer be opened.

Everyone knew what had happened because when he started building the mausoleum, a rumor spread in the city that he had found a formula for the adjacent pathway to the Warrior Pathway of Sequence 3 and was trying to advance by it.

It was likely that the former chief lost control during the final steps of the ritual. The exact cause is unknown, but it was rumored that the issue lay with the pathway itself, rather than the former chief having made a mistake.

That is why everyone was extremely forbidden to approach the mausoleum, and the mausoleum itself was guarded in full time by at least 2 of the 6 members of the Council of Elders. In case the former chief Hawick ever left his eternal resting place.

It was also why no one else had tried to use the same method to change paths once they reached the Demon Hunter of Sequence 4. It was unknown if whatever happened to Chief Hawick would happen again...

At that moment, Derrick was pulled out of his thoughts by the Hanged Man's voice.

"Mr Fool. What would we have to pay to learn what it means?" Alger asked in no hurry.

One of the reasons he usually didn't make deals with Mr Fool was because it reminded him of the examples when deals were made with evil gods and devils.

But now knowing the content of this general knowledge, Alger decided to take a small risk. So, respecting the law of fair exchange, he expressed his interest in the information.

"I'm interested too, Mr Fool." Audrey also entered, nodding carefully but quite often and with good rhythm.

Already having his answer ready, Klein calmly said, "Information related to a noble of Intis from Roselle's time..."

Pausing for a second, he continued, "Ameliee."

So far, Klein hadn't had the time or opportunity to investigate this strange person. That Joa would show interest in finding out what she accomplished between her time in the Emperor's sheets was enough to poke his eye in as well.

Klein also had his own hope that this, too, could bring him closer to finding out what happened to his fellow countryman.

A person with so much mystery behind her was a fitting target for the Fool to ask, strange and seemingly meaningless. Likewise, it would not draw Joa's attention, as he also found this person strange; this would only go into what he was also looking for.

"Ameliee..." Alger muttered, hiding his confusion as best he could, but it still showed in his slight frown.

Of all the payments he expected, that was something that didn't even enter his most vivid dreams.

'It wouldn't be strange for Mr Fool to ask for information on ancient organizations like the Secret Order or the Aurora Order itself, but a simple noble of Intis?

'Mr Fool must have learned that name in the pages of the Emperor's Diary that we have been handed, and discovered something with this Ameliee. If that something is enough to get his attention, then she must not be a simple noble... Yes, yes. Ameliee is from Roselle's time, so somehow she must be related to him. Maybe Mr Fool thinks she did something to the Emperor?

'As expected. Humans cannot understand the vision of great existences...' After seeing a part of the truth of the matter, Alger paused a little.

After nearly twenty seconds of silence, Alger looked at The Fool in the gray fog, deliberated his words, and said, "I will accept this request and help you gather information regarding the Intis noble Ameliee.

"Would an advance payment be possible?"

Upon hearing The Hanged Man's request, Klein leaned back in his chair and nodded.

"No problem.

"If the information you have collected exceeds the value of the answer, I will provide you with further compensation."

'As for the circumstances in which the value of the answer was lacking, it is naturally up to the esteemed Mr. Fool to decide. If he has the ability to make the additional payment, so be it. If not, forget it...' He added in his heart silently.

'Mr Hanged Man must have realized something...' Audrey noticed the man's attitude and quickly joined the exchange.

'The more hands the better, no Klein?' Adryan smiled slightly at the splendid performance, and going with the flow, he nodded slightly and said nothing.

'A noblewoman of Intis by the name of Ameliee... That's the very person Miss Sasha, Mr Nathan, and Little Jerry have been looking for in the library this whole time!' Fors took a slow breath, somewhat disturbed by this sudden development.

Her gaze moved discreetly to the end of the table, towards a red head, 'It's too big a coincidence to be just that, isn't it?'

More, knowing what her role was, she too joined in the exchange.

Seeing that everyone was joining in, Derrick had the urge to join in, but already knowing the answer, he restrained himself from raising his hand.

'I have no idea who this Ameliee is, as well as what I can give in exchange for this... My resources are limited, I have to manage them properly...' Consoling himself a bit, Derrick tried, but couldn't help but feel a bit bad.

His head even lowered a little when, after a few moments, everything in his eyes became pure gray fog and he was unable to hear anything...

Klein nodded and, after blocking Sun's senses, gave an explanation that he had long prepared.

"The so-called Similar Sequence refers to how High-Sequence Beyonders are exchangeable with other pathways.

"Let me give an example. The Death pathway's Sequence 5, Gatekeeper, can not only be advanced normally, but one can also choose the Giant pathway, which is the Gatekeeper pathway's Sequence 4, Demon Hunter.

"This won't lead to the danger of losing control, nor will it accumulate madness. It's different from taking the wrong potion.

"Of course, if it's not a similar Sequence, a semi-deranged state is the best result."

"Interchangeable?" Audrey blurted out, surprised and delighted.

It turns out that the paths are not fixed, they didn't have to follow the original path all the way to the end. The price of switching wasn't being semi-deranged and never to advance again.

Within the 22 divine pathways, there were special circumstances and sequences that were similar.

And what made her happy was that in the future, she would have another opportunity to choose again! It was just like being able to select something that caught her interest at Philip's Department Store. It was a wonderful experience!

Alger pursed his lips, suddenly feeling like he had understood several things at once, and he had resolved many of the doubts accumulated in his past experiences.

This information is way too valuable! As expected of Mr. Fool. So-called simple general knowledge is enough to shock and awe most Low-Sequence Beyonders and benefit them immensely!' He sighed inwardly

"Mr Fool, may I ask what other pathways are exchangeable with the Spectator Sequencer pathway?" Justice asked suddenly, in a reserved voice.

'Sequence 4 Demon Hunter sounds pretty good... That's very suitable for me, very suitable for 'Justice!' Audrey admired the first High-Sequence name that she knew.

At that moment, she froze, realizing her mistake.

She had been too casual in asking! She hadn't even asked what she wanted in return, how she could pay!

More, just before she could make amends for her mistake. The Fool visibly turned his head and looked at the bottom, the fog around him seeming to smile at her.

A deep and somewhat cold voice suddenly spoke; despite its tone, it was a rather polite one.

" 3.300 gold pounds."

For a moment she was confused, her gaze moving to the source of the voice, toward the end of the bronze table.

It was the World.

For several seconds, Audrey stood still, stunned. She hadn't expected such a person to be interested in something like this.

But, not wanting to repeat the same mistake as before, she smiled, her lips quivering slightly.

"'T-deal!"
