'Inkwell, huh…' Vale mused.
As soon as he entered, the scent of parchment, dust, and arcane ink overwhelmed him.
There were stacks of books that towered dangerously high. They were probably books that were about to be thrown out due to their condition.
There were also some books in special containers or shelves... Aside from that, Vale noticed some scroll racks that lined the walls. These scrolls were sealed with wax bearing unique emblems or symbols.
Behind the counter was a gentleman with a monocle…
'Interesting…' Vale mused as he confirmed that the gentleman wasn't simple. He was actually an Immortal, probably higher than Vale himself.
Some sort of Spell definitely veiled his presence, but with his special abilities, Vale could tell—this was at least a Lesser Immortal who was on the verge of advancing, or he had already advanced to a higher level; he wasn't sure.
"Browsing?" The man asked without looking up.
