Thanks to the skillful hands of the make-up artist, Gu Luoxin managed to make himself look somewhat presentable right before the ceremony started—or at least that's what he thought because his eyes no longer looked swollen and bloodshot, his hair had become neat and glossy, and a little color had been added to his overly pale cheeks. He even applied rouge and perfume!
Gu Luoxin had never had such an exquisite make-up done on him before, not even for his stage performance since every role he had played so far had been minor ones.
Now, however, he almost could not recognize the person staring back at him through the mirror. Somehow, he looked less like 'Gu Luoxin' and… resembled 'Young Master Ares' more, almost to an uncanny degree. And the notion sent a surge of courage and confidence swelling in his chest, giving him a brief respite amidst the constant anxiety.
