Chapter 11 - Infiltration and Information Pt.3

Putting on her brown leather jacket and putting her gun in the holster Det. Heera moved towards Clark and told him, "Do you want to meet the wife of deceased ?"

As Clark heard this question from Det. Heera, a smile appeared on his face and gesturing thank you with this hands he said, "That would be so much great Detective. Thank you so much."

Det. Heera: "Well then come with me."

Clark Max: "After you."

With this Clark opened the door through which Det. Heera got out of her office first and then Clark followed behind her.

Soon both of them got into the official car of Det. Heera which she drove and Clark sat down next to her and with that both of them moved to meet Kathy Louise.

While driving the car with her eyes on the road Det. Heera asked Clark, "So where have you worked till now ?"

Clark Max: "I have started as weather caster but that didn't worked for me long after which I was posted in Egypt for a three years and then I became a freelance reporter for five years and now for two years I am working at my current channel."

Detective Heera: "Pretty good."

Clark Max: "Thank you. If you don't mind can I ask about your work and life ?"

This question from Clark made Det. Heera to raise her right eye brow after seeing which Clark apologized immediately.

But then with a small chuckle Det. Heera said, "Come on don't be scared. My family is from India. My dad was a police officer and I have admired him a lot from my childhood so I became a Detective. That's pretty much about my work and life."

Clark Max: "And what about love and boyfriend ?"

Det. Heera: "I don't have time for those shitty craps. I want to focus my time in giving justice to people and catching the criminals."

Giving a look and expression of admiration Clark clapped twice and said, "I really like a woman like you who is clear headed and determined in her work without bringing any obstacles in between her work. You are really commendable."

Detective Heera: "You really have a smooth mouth and smooth talking skill."

Clark Max: "I am serious. In this world where obstacles are lingering with all the people there are people like you especially women like you who knows what her priorities and works are in her life are truly commendable and matters to be appreciated."

Detective Heera: "Thank you then I will take your words as compliments."

Clark Max: "Much appreciated."

With this both of them have some more talks and here and there for some more times and then they both became silent.

And after like fifteen minutes of driving both of them arrived near the house of Kathy where they both saw her surrounded by some thugs.

After looking at the scene before them both Det. Heera and Clark glanced at each other and then Det. Heera took her gun from the holster and then both of them got out of the car.

Det. Heera: "What do you think you guys are doing ?"

These words of Det. Heera immediately attracted the attention of Kathy and those thugs towards her and Clark.

And when the thugs saw her they immediately recognized Det. Heera and then they hurried left that place while showing a warning sign to Kathy.

Det. Heera tried to stop those thugs but they all just got in their car and moved away from there and when they all have left Kathy felt her legs completely giving out and without understanding she began to fall.

But before she could have fallen on the ground Clark caught her in his hands and saved her from falling.

Clark Max: "Madam are you okay ?"

A soft yet concerning voice attracted Kathy towards it and instinctively she looked at the man who is holding her and has saved her.

The look of care and concern was on the face of Clark which Kathy clearly saw and she responded to the look and question of Clark with a nod from her.

In the meantime Det. Heera also came closer to both of them and when she saw both of them in that position she gave Clark a teasing look.

Clark just brushed off that look of her and then he asked Kathy if she is okay to which Kathy replied that she is okay and when she tried to walk without the support of Clark, her feet became unstable and she was about fall.

Clark once again held her in his arms and then he took her in a bridal carrying style and took her into her house and then he placed her on the couch and then Clark took off her heels and then he began to massage her legs.

Following them Det. Heera also came in and then she saw the thing which Clark was doing and so she asked him, "What the heck are you doing Clark ?"

Clark Max: "I am giving massage to her legs which has gone numb."

Detective Heera: "Oh. Okay."

With that she sat down near Kathy who was keep looking at Clark.

Detective Heera: "Mrs. Louise are you alright ?"

Kathy Louise: "Yes I am okay."

Detective Heera: "That's good to hear."

Kathy Louise: "What bring you here Detective and who is this gentleman ?"

Detective Heera: "This is Clark Max a journalist. And we are here to have some talks with you."

Kathy Louise: "I have already told you everything that was between me and Jason. You have seen it all how he has kept me."

Detective Heera: "I know Mrs. Louise. And I have all of my sympathy towards you. But you know how things happen in legal world."

Kathy Louise: "Yeah I know. So ask me what you want to know."

With this Detective Heera gave a nod to Clark who immediately took out the recorder and then Kathy began to narrate her entire life and how Jason has destroyed her life and happiness.

Both Detective Heera and Clark heard everything from Kathy with full attention and after she completed her narration, Detective Heera asked her, "Mrs. Louise do you want for that killer or assassin to be punished severely ?"

Kathy Louise: "If anything I want for that assassin then it is his good fortune and long life. I want to give my best wishes to that person. He killed a monster. He has served justice for me. I want to meet him and thank him personally."

Axel who is in the disguise of Clark heard everything and understood how much truth and sincerity were in the words of Kathy because both of them have similar life and experiences.
