Nox courteously advanced towards the broken cocoon. He could easily tell from its appearance that there used to be something inside, however, it seemed as if whatever was inside was gone.
"Even the powerful aura I sensed some minutes ago has vanished without a trace." He frowned as he walked around the cocoon, finding nothing strange with it. Then his gaze fell on the windows.
Those were in perfect condition as well, which made the frown on his face deepen. Instinctively, he exchanged Oblivion Edge for Glacier's End—the greatsword which was much more powerful and destructive.
It was the same legendary greatsword the Frost Monarch had given him.
He suddenly became alert. Since everything was still in perfect condition, it could only mean one thing.
Whatever had been inside the cocoon was still present in this room.
