Sheng Shi took the opportunity and handed Gu Lanshan a clean set of pajamas. "A hangover can give you a bad headache. Put on these clothes and go downstairs for some porridge; it'll make you feel better."
Gu Lanshan took the clothes but didn't change into them. Instead, she threw off the covers, jumped out of bed, and ran towards the bathroom, calling out, "I need to take a bath first; I feel terrible." Then, with a "bang," she closed the door of the washroom behind her, and soon, the sound of rushing water could be heard.
When Gu Lanshan emerged clean from the bathroom, Sheng Shi was no longer in the bedroom. She haphazardly slipped on a dress and went downstairs, finding Sheng Shi already seated at the dining table waiting for her.
