Chapter 42 - Alex no demon volume 2 chapter 41

Ranpo stood at the city's entrance gate, arms folded, eyes scanning the horizon. His brow furrowed slightly.

"Where is he…?"

Moments later, a figure appeared in the distance—running up the path with a backpack strapped tight to his back.

"Yo! Sorry I'm late!" Alex shouted, waving with one hand as he jogged up.

Ranpo gave a light sigh and smirked. "Finally. You ready?"

Alex gave a firm nod, adjusting the straps of his bag. "Yeah, im ready."

"Well, the place we're heading to is kind of far," Rampo said casually. "It'll take us two days on foot. We could easily just run all the way there, but that would be a waste of time.. so I'm just gonna teleport us."

"Teleport?" Alex blinked. "Since when could you do that?"

"I can't. But someone else can," Ranpo replied coolly.

Right then, Veronica appeared with a soft flash of light beside them. "Sorry for making you wait," she said. "I had a few important things to take care of."

She made a series of swift hand signs. A glowing circle formed beneath Alex and Rampo, pulsing with energy.

Before Alex could even ask what was happening, the light surged—and they vanished.

Behind a nearby tree, Raquel watched silently. Her eyes softened.

"I wish you all the best, Alex," she whispered.

Meanwhile…

In a shattered dimension filled with endless mountains, the sky itself trembled. Diablo and Ukina clashed at incomprehensible speeds that were billions of times the speed of light—blasting powerful beams of energy all over the place, their light beams ripping through the air with explosive power and dangerous force.

Each explosion shook the world they were in, strong enough to erase entire sections of the dimension in seconds.

As they flew and weaved through beams of destruction with incredible combat skills, Diablo narrowed his eyes mid-flight, dodging Ukina's light spear.

"This power… it's not natural. How did she get this strong?"

Growling, he summoned dark energy into his hand and unleashed a colossal blast that shattered the sky. The resulting explosion wiped out entire mountains

As the smoke began to fade, Diablo and Ukina hovered in the air—facing one another.

Diablo called out, "Alright, I've had enough. How did you get this divine power? I know you weren't this strong before."

Ukina smirked. "How I got it is none of your business. But I didn't borrow it, if that's what you're thinking."

"Then explain something else," Diablo pressed. "First you send your people after Alex. Then you're hunting millennia stones and space-time scrolls. What exactly are you planning?"

Ukina's smile widened. "Like I said… it's none of your business. My only business with you—is ending you."

Without warning, she summoned massive spears of light and launched one. It narrowly missed Diablo—but the resulting explosion obliterated countless mountains behind him.

Diablo turned to glance at the damage, eyes widening.

"That blast… it's strength is so powerful that it could wipe out entire planets in a single shot."

Ukina's voice cut through the dust. "If you want to know my goal, fine. I'll give you one piece of it: I want to revive Zodia."

Diablo's expression changed instantly.

"What did you just say?!"

Ukina's tone turned solemn. "Zodia. The son of Bansha—the god of creation. The same Zodia… who wiped out the Demon Clan sixteen years ago. He is also the son of the god you were reincarnated from."

Diablo's face contorted in fury. "Are you insane?! Do you have any idea what that means? Reviving him would reduce all of existence to ruin! Is that what you want?!"

Ukina's eyes glowed. "I've already said too much. It's time to finish you. You're the only one interfering with my plans."

Golden light spears launched toward Diablo, dozens of them. Diablo zipped through them, dodging with incredible speed and skill while yelling back, "You're insane—but I didn't think it was this bad!"

"The world needs a new order," Ukina shouted. "A world where people are equal—where they obey one supreme being! Then there would be no more war, no more conflict."

Diablo clenched his fist and opened several giant magic circles. He launched a barrage of dark blasts, colliding with Ukina's spears in a cosmic explosion that shook the dimension again.

When the dust cleared, Diablo spoke. "Why is it always the crazies talking about peace… by wiping out everything? Reviving a god who nearly erased reality? Are you thinking?"

Ukina's voice dropped to a near whisper. "When I was young… I was born with immense power. The city I lived in saw me as a threat. They tried to kill me."

Her eyes opened up with golden light.

"But he found me. He saved me. He gave me purpose."

Diablo's voice lowered. "I always suspected he was still alive. But I didn't think he had the power to still pull strings from the shadows."

"Zodia has always existed," Ukina continued. "Before he was sealed, he tried to absorb the Demon Clan's power. When he failed, he destroyed them and vanished. But I… I became his disciple. Everything I've done—was to bring him back. Stronger than ever."

Diablo's thoughts raced.

"This power… I've seen it before from my previous memories. It's divine. The kind of power that only gods at their lowest rank could wield… But how? I'm the only god reincarnate that should exist right now…"

Suddenly, it hit him.

"Are you fucking kidding me? She's a reincarnated god too… She's—"

"Zakiel," he muttered aloud. "You're the reincarnation… of the God of Angels!"

Ukina laughed as she charged a massive beam of energy. "You figured it out."

She hurled the colossal beam towards him.

Diablo clenched his jaw as he shot himself forward at an insane speed "Sorry, Alex… Looks like I have to borrow one of your tricks."

He summoned a long, black blade of pure dark energy and surged forward.

"Blade of Death: Dark Destroyer!"

His blade tore through Ukina's attack and pierced through her defenses, detonating into a devastating explosion that swallowed the entire planet they were fighting on.

When the smoke faded, Diablo hovered in the sky.

"Not a single scratch on me," he muttered with a smirk. "I mean, I literally can't be harmed by other abilities. Looks like I won."

But then… he felt it.

A strange pressure.

He looked down—only to find himself bound by glowing chains attached to four glowing squares. A spear and chain pierced through his stomach.

Ukina floated above him.

"You may be immune to attacks and supernatural powers… but not to something made to defeat you by your previous reincarnate."

Diablo's eyes narrowed with struggle and difficulty.

"This artifact is the Reality Sealer," she said. "Bansha made it… in case he was ever reincarnated and lost control. It was built to hold beings as powerful as him."

She descended slightly.

"You have the ability to control time. You can control reality. But the Reality Sealer sends you to a place where none of those concepts exist. You won't be able to manipulate anything even if you tried."

Diablo chuckled darkly. "You really expect this to hold me? Alright then. I'll play your dumb little game."

He closed his eyes and visualized Alex and Kazuki.

"Alex. Kazuki. You're the only ones who can fix this already messed up world. I'll jump in when needed—but until then… I'm leaving it to you both."

The squares collapsed, enclosing Diablo and shrinking into a small cube—vanishing from sight.

Ukina floated in the silence and with a smirk on his face.

"Diablo has been captured," she whispered. "My plans… can finally begin."
