Chapter 51 - Alex no demon volume 2 chapter 49

It had been three months since the city was destroyed by Bara. Now, it stood tall once again—almost as if nothing had ever happened. Only a few corners of the city remained under reconstruction, a faint reminder of the chaos that once engulfed it.

Inside his room, Alex lay on his bed, his eyes fixed on the ceiling.

"I still can't believe it..." he muttered to himself.

A soft smile formed on his face as memories flooded his mind—the day he met the Spirit Lord.

✦ Flashback – Three Months Ago ✦

The atmosphere was thick with demonic aura. A dark pressure filled the air, suffocating and heavy. Alex stood before a demon, ready to reach out with his hand—

"You don't need to do this."

A firm grip seized his arm.

Alex turned in surprise. "Who are you?" he asked.

The man standing beside him had a calm, unwavering presence. His eyes were kind but resolute.

"I'm your dad," the man said.

Alex's eyes widened in disbelief. "What do you mean you're my dad? I don't even have parents."

The man smiled gently. "Let's go somewhere brighter. This demonic aura is no place for a conversation like this."

With a snap of his fingers, the dark realm dissolved.

The next moment, Alex found himself in a vast, glowing void—peaceful, still, and warm.

The man—Kazuma—stood in front of him.

"Sorry about that," Kazuma said. "Now, where were we? Right... This might all be a bit sudden, but yes—I'm your father."

Without thinking, Alex stepped forward and hugged him tightly. Tears streamed down his cheeks.

"I've always wanted to see you... I've always wanted to know what you looked like..."

Kazuma placed a hand on his son's head, smiling. "It's okay, Alex. I know how you feel."

Still teary-eyed, Alex looked up. "I have so much to tell you... I'm seriously so happy right now!"

Kazuma nodded. "I know you do. But I didn't come just to meet you... I came to stop you from becoming a full demon—and to explain a few important things."

Alex wiped his tears. "Okay. All this seems a bit too rushed, but I'll try to listen."

Kazuma's expression turned serious.

"Sixteen years ago... the Demon Clan was destroyed. Wiped out by a man who called himself a god. He sought the power of the demons for himself."

He paused, his tone low and heavy.

"His name was Zodia. According to legend, he was a god born of Bansha, the divine being of power, creation, and destruction—the one said to have created existence itself."

Alex blinked, overwhelmed. "Wait, wait, hold on. I'm starting to get confused. What are you saying...?"

Kazuma smirked. "Long story short—Zodia tried to absorb the power of our clan to destroy the world. He slaughtered countless B-rank demon soldiers... I had no choice but to fight him."

He looked away, remembering the battle. Zodia floating in the air with bright yellow and red energy, while Kazuki was standing below, his purple cape flowing with the wind along side his purple hair.

"But he was far too strong. So I performed a sealing technique and barely managed to trap him. I almost died just trying to seal him away. And even though I sealed him... it was already too late. He summoned a beam of divine light that annihilated the entire continent of the demons."

Alex's breath caught. "So... that's how it was destroyed...?"

Kazuma nodded solemnly. "At that point, I was powerless. I had already used up everything in that fight. And... you were born that very day. So I sealed a Millennia Stone inside you and teleported you to Ranpo Sensei."

"I had no idea about this. No wonder im the only demon left." Alex said quietly.

"Yes," Kazuma confirmed. "But I knew from the moment you were born—you were going to be a strong soldier with incredible potential. That's why I sealed the Millennia Stone inside you. Without it, your growth would be limited."

Alex tilted his head. "Millennia Stone? What's that?"

Kazuma smiled. "Demons have a limit to how strong they can grow. The average demon can only reach Stage 3. Rare ones can go up to Stage 4, sometimes Stage 6. Those are called special demons."

Alex's eyes widened. "When I went berserk just now... I'm not sure what stage I was in, but I felt so much hatred and power all at once, like a surge of flames. Is it possible that i could be one of those special demons or something?"

Kazuma let out a small laugh. "Of course you are. You're my son, after all. From what I observed, you reached Stage 6—your body even started to transform into flames. Not every demon can go that high."

He looked proud. "That's why I gave you the Millennia Stone—to break the limiter without much struggle. The long and short is of it all is that, if you didn't have it sealed in you, reaching some levels of power would have been difficult. You had great potential, but too achieve those things would have been a struggle. "

Alex grinned. "So I've been strong this whole time... Even without using my demonic power, I've accomplished so much. Even Diablo says I've got crazy potential.". Alex smirked "Now I'm starting to grab it.", Alex said to Kazuma "I'm not going to disappoint you, dad. You just watch."

"That's my boy," Kazuma said, ruffling his hair one last time. "Keep getting stronger. And by the way... how are Diablo and Veronica doing? They were my students back in the day. Say hi for me, will ya?"

Suddenly, his body began to fade, light swirling around him.

"Wait! Dad!" Alex called out. "One more question... What about Mom? Who is she?"

Kazuma just smiled warmly.

"You'll know when the time comes."

And then, he was gone. He faded away like air.

✦ End of Flashback ✦

Back in his room, Alex stared at the ceiling.

"There's still so much I want to know... but I'll wait."

He rolled over to rest, but a single memory echoed back.

"Say hi to Diablo and Veronica for me."

Alex's eyes shot wide open. He sat up straight, a shocked expression on his face.

"Wait... WHAT?! My dad taught Diablo?!"

"So Diablo has the brain capacity to be taught?!"

He yelled so loudly, it echoed through the room.
