Chapter 333 - Feeling good

Once the change was complete I stretched causing my joints to pop pleasantly. I raised my right hand and clenched it as I felt the vast power of my divinity pumping through my body like a steady heartbeat pushing blood. It was a strange sensation but not unpleasant at all as in truth I had never felt better. A small flex of my new power and a ball of flame manifested above my fist easily. Another flex and arcs of electricity crossed it and one more flex and the whole thing was enveloped by a purple mist.-

Using multiple typings at the same time was not something I was capable of until now and I honestly wasn't sure what had changed to allow it. Perhaps though it was because I now had an ability for nearly every typing or maybe because I could tap into one of the fundamental forces of reality. Whatever the case I could feel how powerful I had become, almost like an elite pokemon in human form. Not at champion levels of power though, at least not physically. But that made sense given that my body was not that of a pokemon.-

Ironically it would be easier to say that I was much like the Celebi species, a glass cannon. Type energy wise I felt I could match any of my pokemon but physically any pokemon could bully me if I got hit. It didn't bother me though as I never wanted to be the strongest being around, just remembered forever. Honestly if I were to show off my power right now it would likely make history as I highly doubted any other person on the planet had ever hit such heights of power.-

I only spent a day to get a handle on my new power before I balled up my team and headed for the last part of the underground that I hadn't visited yet and hopefully the place with the last plates I needed. I had nine of the seventeen plates and that meant there were eight still unaccounted for. The Stone, Iron, Flame, Splash, Meadow, Mind, Icicle and Draco plates specifically. I most wanted the Flame, Meadow and Stone plates though so all my pokemon would have access to a plate of their typing. The sole exception there being Cratos that technically didn't have a typing due to his mutant nature.-

I felt a bit bad for him honestly as he didn't have the shortcut to power that the others had. To be fair though if it wasn't for the fact I was fairly certain he needed an evolution token to evolve he would be the most busted existence ever, well besides myself I guess. It also didn't help that he was capped at ace level for strength due to this exact reason. Right now he was level sixty eight and the fact his growth was slowing down rapidly couldn't be more obvious.-

Neither of us were concerned about it though as I had specifically saved an evolution token to evolve him once his progress fully stalled. While he was getting close to that point he hadn't hit it yet so there was no reason to use the token yet. Compared to when we first arrived in Sinnoh he had grown into the potential he was born with and thus between the wild pokemon and spars with my much stronger pokemon holding back his level had shot up like a rocket. Anyways After Rune landed in the last area for the underground I released all my pokemon and began to set up camp while I waited for Gaia to dig out the tunnel.-

Something to mention was that the league had complained a bit about the new entrances to the underground I dug as it made it harder for them to keep an eye on the comings and goings of the people there. The fact my entrances were in the wilds helped but not by much as it just meant that stationing someone there to watch them was bored most of the time. Not really my problem to deal with so like most things i ignored it and continued as I liked.-

Once Gaia completed the tunnel I wasted no time at all starting my final hunt for the plates in the underground. I ignored the many people in the underground all chipping away at the walls piece by piece looking for treasure as I walked through the whole place. Thanks to my x-ray vision I saw the first plate easily and used my earth manipulation ability to draw it out to me and smiled at the red coloration, it was the Flame plate.-

"The power of defeated giants infuses this plate."

I had no fucking idea what this inscription was referring to frankly as nothing I could think of made sense. What giants was this plate referencing? Some sort of primordial first attempt at life beyond the pillars perhaps? There was no way of knowing without asking something that did know and without context that meant the pillars and the creator itself. Needless to say my curiosity was buried as there was no way in hell I was going to ask that of them. The next plate was found shortly after the first and was the Stone plate.-

"It gathers power from the plates, listening to the flutes song."

This spoke of Arceus's connection to the plates and the Azure flute that was used to call forth the creator itself in the games though I had this sneaking suspicion that the thing called down was in fact just and avatar and not the real deal. I could totally be wrong though and the creator just really liked the sound of the azure flute for some inexplicable reason. Unlike in the previous part of the underground where I made a commotion by hunting treasures nobody seemed to care in this part as I was only after the plates.-

I didn't even bother to conceal that they were my targets as there was almost no way the league could gather up any of the undug plates before I could get to them. This was the last part of the underground I needed to search after all and they didn't know that. It was also a wild goose chase as the league simply had no clue what to look for beyond that it was a plate like the ones I am digging up.
