Charles White instantly reached out to ruffle his short hair, waiting for her praise.
He waited half a day, but she didn't praise him, and instead, kept staring at the salmon he was slicing...
"Charles, can I ask you a question?" Zoe Yale asked seriously, looking up.
"Hmm," Charles uttered, barely parting his lips.
The next second, she reached out to pick up a thinly-sliced piece of salmon, batting her large eyes, "Can I try this?"
"..." Was she seriously asking him just so she could sneak a bite?
Charles was about to speak when she had already stuffed the sashimi into her mouth, chewing rapidly, and then swallowed.
Then she looked up at him with pitiful eyes.
"I've already swallowed it, you're not going to make me pay, are you?"
"..."
As Charles met her innocent eyes, he opened his mouth, about to say something, only to see her quickly pick up another piece of sashimi and stuff it into his mouth.
"There, you've had a piece too, now we're even."
