The restaurant, brimming with sunshine, saw Steven Balance and Charles Green having breakfast.
Steven Balance wasn't as talkative as Charles, neither warm nor cold towards her. He seemed no different from a month ago, wearing his usual bathrobe here, propping his face in boredom while lazily eating a fried egg with a silver fork. He glanced at her sideways when she approached but showed little reaction.
Charles stood up, smiling and pulling her hand: "Did you sleep well? Seeing you so soundly asleep, I didn't call you for breakfast."
Norris Moore gave an embarrassed smile: "I've been rather tired lately..."
