She was both delighted and embarrassed. After a silent chuckle or two, she threw herself into James Black's arms and buried her face in his chest, from which she let out a giggle.
One hand holding the perfume and the other around James Black's waist, she laughed so hard that her whole body shook.
"Do you like it?" James Black bent down and kissed the top of her head, clearly asking what he already knew.
The response he got was a silly giggle, but from it, James Black found his answer.
She liked it.
She liked the gift he gave her, she liked the giver, and she liked the meaning behind the gift.
"Go get washed up, I'll wait for you downstairs for breakfast." James Black patted Jane Sampson on the back of her head. "Don't dawdle, or breakfast will get cold."
"Uh-huh~" Jane Sampson nodded, placed the perfume on the dressing table with a little trot, then ran back and gave James Black a peck on his cheek on tiptoes before giggle-running into the bathroom.
