The skies in all corners of creation turned crimson, and those who knew what this meant were left shaken. Some of them were in league with Kai Syaoran and had long ago known that the end was nigh, but this was too fast, even for them. They had thought that he would need to find a human to break through to the ninth step and thus bring about the descent of the Great Furnace. They had anticipated this step alone needing thousands of years, even with all the resources in Kai Syaoran's hands.
They had not expected Kai Syaoran to simply kill the Eye of Heaven and, in so doing, summon the Great Furnace. Some of these forces were not yet ready to see this great war begin, and yet it was upon them. They had no other option but to follow Kai Syaoran into his madness.
