Kiara was sitting in front of Wendy's bed, leaning on Mario Yuno's shoulder. Ever since Yuzo Joel left, her spirits had been low, sullen and silent, her eyes red and veiled with a layer of mist.
She hadn't dared to show her emotional turmoil in front of Yuzo Joel, but once he left, the dam of repressed sorrow broke.
Mario Yuno, guessing something of her state, didn't dare to ask directly, fearing he would touch upon her wounds, so he got up and brought back several photo albums full of Wendy's pictures.
"Come on, daughter-in-law, let's look at our little girl's childhood photos."
Kiara wasn't really in the mood to look at them, as she was preoccupied with her father's health, but she couldn't resist Mario Yuno's insistence, and sat in his arms on the floor to look at them.
Kiara enjoyed documenting their child's life and had bought a high-pixel camera; Mario Yuno also liked taking pictures, so the couple had taken quite a few.
