"So, you already knew as well?" Tangmo looked at him and asked.
"I'm not as perceptive as Luo'er, but I did have a vague sense that something was off," Cheng Ziang waved his hand and replied. "It wasn't until just now, in front of the inn, that I suddenly realized something, though I didn't immediately connect it to this case."
"That's strange. We don't seem to have exposed our intentions, so why would Anxiang Zheng react so drastically, even going so far as to detain us?" Tangmo asked, puzzled.
"Could it be that you..." Baiyue trailed off, casting a suspicious glance at Cheng Ziang.
"A disciple of the Hongying Sect, Xing Hu, is investigating this case. I had some contact with him earlier today," Cheng Ziang nodded and said.
"No wonder. If that's the case, Anxiang Zheng's reaction isn't surprising," Baiyue nodded, a look of understanding crossing his face.
