First and foremost, being powerful doesn't necessarily mean having a strong mind. If one is not truly a deity, they would possess their own emotions. Considering being trapped in one region for billions of years, no matter how unyielding one's psyche might be, it would've likely crumbled long ago!
So, under those circumstances, when that deity noticed the energy weakening in the jungle that had imprisoned them for so long, how could they not have taken action?
Secondly, although unaware of the situation in the outside world, from the changes inflicted upon their state, the deity could easily sense that the jungle seemed to be dealing with something out there. Facing such a scenario, even if the hope wasn't significant, they still hoped that someone was preparing to rescue them.
