As soon as the door closed behind him and the sounds of the benevolent test he'd prepared for his dear servants were locked out, Elora giggled through their bond. "Hehehe, you've become so devious, my love, I love it."
"I don't know what you mean," Erik smiled, shrugging as he walked back to the main hall, hands resting casually in his pockets. "Don't you agree that it's necessary?"
"Oh, absolutely!" she responded, a serious undertone slipping into her enthusiasm. "If they were just basic servants, it'd be fine, but if we're giving them more responsibility, then they need to be bound to us by more than just the Bond of Service. Their service needs to be backed by absolute conviction and devotion."
She went back to giggling. "I just didn't expect you'd be so devious about it, hehehe."
Erik rolled his eyes, grinning lightly. "Well… I like to have fun. You've made sure of that, Elora."
Elora gasped theatrically. "Me?! My love, I hope that's not an accusation!"
