Chapter 7 - Presentation

"Hello everyone," Adams said as he stood before the audience.

Applause filled the room as the attendees joined hands, exchanging warm glances.

"My name is Adams Suleiman from Fuchsia Estate, Walliya City. I studied Entrepreneurship and Business Management at the National State University and was one of the top graduates in my class.

I have worked with Aemano's Oil Corporation Limited as a Personnel Manager, overseeing about one hundred and twenty subordinates. My role involved connecting internal and external coordination styles effectively.

I focused on creating synergies of good communication skills within the organization's ethics, fostering amiable unity. I implemented policies that encouraged freedom for subordinates' self-efficacy and idea contributions, allowing them to carry out objectives in ways they believed were most effective.

I developed a system to optimize time management, processes that yield profitable outcomes, and decision-making based on thorough consideration of all business aspects. I also updated technologies and transformed outdated management strategies into modern approaches.

I utilized systematic and uniform research methodologies for information system development that align with the mission objectives of the organization while standardizing maintenance and enhancing the cost-effectiveness of both internal and external organizational environments.

I possess sound management skills and have employed numerous system development techniques. In summary, with my life experiences, my background in building a family, and my organizational development skills, I believe I could greatly contribute to the company's success.

All I need is an opportunity to review your manuals and gain further knowledge about your organization and operational systems. Then, I can apply my concepts, strategically turning visions into successful outcomes and creating an environment conducive to achieving greater heights.

Thank you."

Silence enveloped the hall as a deep voice echoed, resonating off the walls, inviting thoughtful reflection and providing insight into the audience's understanding.

The audience remained engaged, noting the unique handling of intuitive knowledge and supportive development.

This left the attendees enlightened about the innovative methods introduced for the organization's foreseeable future, based on the presentation's insights.

As expectations were met, applause erupted, accompanied by cheers, hugs, and handshakes as the CEO commended Adams for his remarkable speech and presentation.

"An orchestra in a concert adds depth and new dimensions to the melody for the audience.

Today, I have found the entrepreneur I have been searching for. There is a saying about entrepreneurs:

'An entrepreneur is a wealth creator; where there is an entrepreneur, there is wealth—whether through knowledge, opportunity, innovation, or risk. Only the paranoid survive to witness this.' – Alexander Asseily, founder of Jawbone.

I saw that energy in you as you presented.

In this age of transparency, honesty, and generosity—even in the form of an apology—can foster goodwill."

That's what I observed in you.

Building a startup is challenging, especially when it's growing as rapidly as Tinder. You need to be fully committed. Solving the problem must be personal, or you risk failure." – Sean Rad, Co-founder of Tinder, Inc.

This is why I would like to entrust you with a responsibility within this organization.

"Success depends on employees. For me, knowing and connecting with my employees is crucial." – Divine Ndhlukula, founder and managing director of DDNS Security Operations Ltd.

You spoke about relationship building in your presentation, which is one of the attributes I was looking for.

Sales should not be a pushy, winner-takes-all scenario; instead, it is an empathy-led, process-driven, and knowledge-intensive discipline. Ultimately, people prefer to buy from people." – Subroto Bagchi.

Your knowledge is the power I need right now, and I welcome you to our company.

Please submit your documents to the secretary, along with your bank information and any other necessary details.

You will resume next week on Monday, and everything will be prepared for you by then.

Thank you for being here."

"Thank you, ma'am, and thank you all."

As everyone stepped back to their offices, the conference room transformed into a quiet space.

Adams went straight to the secretary's office to submit all the required information. The secretary quickly stood up as he entered, introducing herself with a tone of desperation and hyperactive excitement.

"My name is Mariyam, and you are welcome sir!" she exclaimed, her radiant smile and admiring gaze fixed on his striking eyes.

"Thank you, ma'am. My name is Adams Suleiman," he replied in a baritone voice.

"Please sign here and here. Before you get home, you should receive a credit alert from your bank for maintenance and repair before your resumption. You can reach me through this number or by email for any inquiries."

"Have a nice day, sir," she added.

It was clear that she had some feelings for him; her face lit up with a crush, and Adams noticed her lingering glances. However, he pushed those thoughts away, focusing on his upcoming work responsibilities and his children.

"Thank you, ma'am. Have a great day too," Adams replied, turning to head for the elevator. Suddenly, Mariyam rushed after him.

"Excuse me, Mr. Adams! You forgot your pen," she called out.

As he walked away, he felt her gaze following him. He assumed she might ask him out. Turning around, he saw her approach with a glowing smile, holding a pen. She extended her hand toward him, but as he searched his pocket, he realized the pen wasn't his.

"Sorry, that's not mine. I have my pen right here. Thank you, though."

"Oh, I thought it was yours! Sorry for the mix-up," she chuckled as she pressed the elevator button. When the doors opened, she stepped inside, and Adams nervously followed her. The doors closed, and the elevator began to descend. He leaned against the wall, trying to avoid eye contact while she smiled at him, her eyes sparkling with amusement at his nervousness.

"What direction are you going, Mr. Adams?" she asked.

"Heading towards First Avenue," he replied slowly.

"Oh, okay, we're going the same way. Are you driving?" she inquired.

"No, ma'am," he answered.

"Okay, I'm driving that way. Would you like to join me?" she offered.

"Yeah, sure," he agreed.

When the elevator opened, they stepped out and headed towards the exit, where Mariyam got into her white Mercedes Benz.

"Wow, what a car!" Adams thought. "Did she buy this with money from the organization, or did someone gift it to her?"

"What a nice car!" he said aloud as she settled into the driver's seat.

"Thank you! My sister in London bought it for me," she replied.

"Wow, that's great! But are you married?" he asked.

"Not yet. I'm hoping to find a serious guy who's ready to settle down soon, even as a second wife. I just want to start my own family," she explained.

"God will provide the best man for you soon," Adams said encouragingly.

"Amen," she smiled. "You're a nice man. Are you married?"

"Yes, I got married a few years ago to the woman I love, and now we have two adorable kids," he replied.

"That's wonderful! Don't you think about taking on more wives? There are so many ladies looking for a husband, and the number of women in this city exceeds the number of men. You men should consider adding wives to lessen the burden on everyone."

Jokingly, Adams responded, "You ladies can be a little tricky, you know. You can agree to certain terms and later deny them, leaving all the burdens on the men. That's why it pays to be careful."

She chuckled and asked, "Where do you live?"

"At Fuchsia Estate. How about you?" he responded.

"I live in NewLine City. Let me drop you off at your place, and then I can go about my day," she offered.

"Thank you," he replied.

"Would you mind if I say hi to your family?" she asked with a smile.

"Of course not! That's my house," he said, pointing to a white house with a blue gate.

"The one with the blue gate?" she confirmed.

"Yes," he replied.

"What a nice house!" she complimented.

"Yeah, my mother-in-law gifted us the house, and I'm hoping to have my own soon, by God's grace," he explained.

"God will bless you with more houses and even more wives soon," she joked.

"Amen to the houses, but no to more wives because I love my wife dearly," Adams laughed.

She smiled and parked the car. They both got out and entered the house.

Mina heard Adams's voice and rushed out to hug him, her face filled with excitement and curiosity about the interview.

She wrapped her arms around him and kissed him. "How did it go, babe? How was the interview?"

Mariyam stepped inside, and Adams quickly introduced her to Mina. "This is Mariyam, the secretary of the organization. She was asked to drop me home, so I invited her in to meet my family and get to know where I live."

"Hello, ma'am. Good afternoon," Mariyam greeted Mina.

Mina replied, "Hi, you're welcome here. Please, have a seat, and let me offer you something to drink."

"No, ma'am, thank you. I need to get back to work right away because I don't have much time. Perhaps another time?" Mariyam responded politely.

Mina insisted and went to the freezer. She brought out some canned juice drinks, snacks, and toasted chicken. She placed them in a leather bag and handed them to Mariyam as a kind gesture.

Mariyam accepted the bag with appreciation. "Thank you, ma'am."
