Bai Meilan invited Jiang Lisa to the Bai mansion to get ready for the wrap party and they are in her bedroom.
The maid knocks on the door, "Miss Meilin, I have the snacks you wanted."
"Enter."
The maid is holding am intricately carved wooden tray with a blue and white porcelain teapot, cups and a plate of delicate pastries and cookies. After she arranges everything on the table she says, "Does Miss need anything else?"
Bai Meilin's eyes light up greedily staring at the plate of pastries and smiles, "No, this looks great." All my favorites! I will need to thank the cook!
She turns to Jiang Lisa, "Come and eat. The desserts will pad your stomach until dinner. My brother and Chen Emmi should be back by then."
Jiang Lisa sits at the table and puts a pink macaroon on the gold rimmed china plate in front of her, "Is there something going on between them?"
Bai Meilin pours two cups of tea, "Can you keep a secret?"
