"But....." Before the guard captain can say anything, the Princess raised her hand and he fell silent.
" Thank you Lord Alan. You have saved us from truely a bloody situation. Though, I was confident of getting away from this situation, I never felt it would happen without a lot of bloodshed."
" I truly appreciate your help. If you don't mind, may I ask where you are from. Which family do you belong to? And if I listened correctly, I heard you say that, you are a Disciple of the renowned swordmaster, Harry Goldwin from Phoenix kingdom. Are you from there itself? ...." The Princess started to bombard Alan with so many questions that he simply stared at her blankly....
After asking more than a dozen questions, the princess stopped abruptly and took a long breath. Alan smiled shaking his head at the situation he was in.
" As I introduced, I am Alan Morgan from Phoenix kingdom. And yes, I am Swordmaster Harry Goldwin s disciple."
After a short pause, Alan continued. "Before you ask what am I doing here and what business do I have here? Let me clarify that, I am on a journey. Just wanting to experience life, explore new places and learn as much as I can during this time."
"Are you truely the disciple of the famous Grandmaster Harry?" The guard captain asked in awe and slightly a bit of doubt. The whole situation felt surreal to him. And he was not ready to accept some random guy to show up at the exact time when the situation was about to escalate and introduce himself as a disciple of grandmaster Harry Goldwin.
Alan nodded and then shrugged his shoulders. " Anyways It's nice to meet you Princess... Captain..." He bowed his head then walked towards the Inn keeper who was watching the scen in disbelief.
"Is there a room available. I would like to stay for a couple of days here."
"Ye.... Yes.... We have rooms, honoured guest. Would you prefer one with a bath tub?"
"If you have one, I would be happy to take it."
" It will cost you 5 silvers per night. The breakfast and the dinner are included in the cost. Drinks will be charged additionally."
Alan took out a gold coin and handed it to the Inn keeper. "I will settle the remaining payment before I leave."
Inn Keeper pocketed the gold with a wide smile and guided Alan towards the upper floor to show him his room.
"Princess, I think we need to be carefull. The young man seems dangerous. Very dangrous."
She nodded her head. " Indeed he is very dangrous. But, I don't think he is a threat to us. My intuition tells me, he will not harm us unless, we try to harm him."
Then she smacked her forehead with her hand." I forgot to Introduce myself. I didn't even give him my name." The princess started to geumble and stomped towards her room.
As she entered the corridor, she noticed that the room opposite her was the one offered to the Young Man. Both the rooms next to her were taken up by her guards. Now knowing the person staying in the room opposite her will be the one who saved them, she felt slightly at ease.
As soon as she neared her room, she heard the Inn Keeper wishing Alan a nice stay, bowed and then turned around. Seeing her walking towards them he hastily bowed deep to her and scurried away in fear.
Alan smiled, inclined his head slightly towards the princess and was about to close the door, when the princess spoke.
"My name is Sharon. Sharon Cladwell. Sorry I did not introduced myself before."
" Not at all a problem. It's nice to meet you Princess Sharon." Alan bowed formally like a real gentleman. " I have been travelling for more than 9 days. If you don't mind, can I take my leave princess."
"Please, call me Sharon, Lord Alan."
"Then, please call me Alan. Sharon. I am definitely not a lord." Alan scratched his head in embarrassment, waved his hand and took his leave, closing the door behind.
