Lady Wangyue felt uneasy. What did Ming Mei mean by that?
Ming Mei pulled a chair over and sat beside the bed: "How's the injury? Feeling any better?"
Lady Wangyue was already on guard: "Thank you, it's much better now."
Ming Mei glanced at the fruit on the table: "Can you eat fruit? Let me peel an apple for you."
Lady Wangyue said: "Thanks, but no need."
"Don't mention it." Ming Mei reached out to grab it:
Seeing the fruit knife, Lady Wangyue felt a thump in her heart and scolded: "What are you waiting for, Secretary Wu? How can you let a guest do such things? Clear away the fruit and fruit knife, and bring up a prepared fruit platter."
Secretary Wu hurried over, "Yes."
He collected all the fruit and the knife.
Ming Mei dropped her hand, shrugged nonchalantly, "Lady, you're too kind. You're the patient, it's only right for me to take care of you."
Lady Wangyue sneered inwardly; she certainly didn't want to be 'cared for' to death by him.
