Ming Mei asked the police, "Can I talk to him for a few moments?"
The police nodded.
The chief hesitated for a while, then waved to an officer to unlock the handcuffs from Ming Mei's wrist. Since she was voluntarily following them, she would certainly not run away.
Even though she had committed a murder, after all, she had Kang Chen behind her, and this Prince from UC. Given the circumstances, it seemed reasonable to give them this much face.
Ming Mei walked up to Shen Nie, noticing his pale face tinged with blue and purple, his lips already frozen to a deep purple hue, looking as though he was extremely cold.
It was indeed very cold; after all, it was below zero, and yesterday's heavy snow hadn't yet melted.
Ming Mei spoke, "It's so cold. You should go back now."
Shen Nie looked at Ming Mei. His eyes, usually clear, were now full of pain and pity, "Why didn't you tell me?"
