Genevieve slowly opened her eyes and she stared up at the unfamiliar room she was in. She could feel the cold air seep in from one of the opened windows and the smell of medicines hit her nose. She could tell that she was no longer locked up. She moved her eyes and saw Mina by the bed she was, napping. She must have been by her side all along and must be very tired, she thought.
As she tried to sit up, she let out a groan and it alerted Mina who split her eyes opened immediately. When she saw that Genevieve was awake, her eyes rose as she stood up immediately, calling for the physician.
Genevieve held her hand and asked, "Where am I?"
Mina looked at her and replied, "You are still within the royal palace. After you passed out, the magistrate officer ordered to bring you here for treatment."
"What of Maidservant Ann? I have to go see her. She must be lonely up there," Eve said and tried standing but Mina resisted her and said;
