Aws couldn't have seen that turn of events. The caravan he had followed to ask for medicine was promptly set upon by about twenty thugs.
He had heard that the area was quite dangerous, yet he didn't expect that number.
The caravan itself seemed to be well informed, for they had about 10 guards escorting them, all of whom were armed and apparently strong. Some of the members even saw fit to embark into the fray as well.
Aws desperately needed that caravan's help, so he too prodded his horse forward to join the fight.
The notorious thieves weren't to be reckoned with after all, for they were strong and cunning. And before long, when the guards were worn out from the fight, twenty more of them appeared to back the first group.
The caravan's leader could only give the order to flee by that point, while the guards were still holding them back.
