Across the table, the delicate-faced girl froze for a moment, surprised that Marvin, who had been chatting merrily just moments ago, suddenly found her annoying—and even voiced it out loud.
"Sorry, I didn't mean you, but rather I thought of an annoying friend."
Marvin quickly explained.
The girl tucked a lock of hair behind her ear, her bright eyes glancing over, "How about me? What do you think of me?"
"You... you're quite nice."
"I think you're pretty good too. Would you consider trying to date for a while?"
"Sure."
Marvin thought having a fresh start sounded good.
Baji no longer rambled on but let out a meaningful, cold laugh.
