Chapter 488 - Chapter CLXXX - A New Information (part 2)

The next day, I decided to have a house clean-up.

Even though it's the middle of winter, the sun is still shining quite brightly. It hasn't snowed in days, so I think the snowy weather is starting to move on.

Finally… Spring!!!! For the love of god, I hate snow.

After cleaning up, I got very tired and slammed my body on the sofa. It has basically become my favourite spot in the house, where I can just think without any problems at all.

The peacefulness got me snoring for around fifteen minutes until suddenly I could hear my door getting knocked.

Ugh… seriously…? I'm so tired…

I opened my eyes lazily and lifted my body from the couch. I thought about how to scare the person away as I walked to the door while covering my mouth from yawning. I decided that I would scare them by telling them I have a dead body inside, and so I opened the door.

"Hai there! Were you sleeping?"

My doze quickly disappeared, and turned into shock. My thought about shoo-ing them away has disappeared, changed into pure and just pure shock.

Lescia is standing in front of the door. Grinning all by herself, with no guardian.

"W-Ho-Wha-How are you here!?"

"Surprised? I did promise you this, didn't I?"

She said with her usual cheeky grin, making me flustered even more.

"Since I did a wonderful job at dealing with Veldonia, my father has allowed me to do anything that I want. I have proven myself, plus my curse has been lifted. It's freedom all day long!"

She said while staring at my garden, looking around the front side of my house.

"Oh, and I have to wear a cover every time, just in case people can recognize me."

It's true, she is wearing the black robe I gave her during our time at Veldon. She hasn't returned it yet, and looks like she is fond of it.

I checked using my senses, and noticed a couple eyes watching us. They didn't dare to go closer and simply sat on top of the roofs of other houses, so I simply let them sit there.

In the end, she is still being watched.

But, it doesn't change the fact that she is open to roam around the city at any time she wants.

"I see… I'm glad."

I said with a smile, and she chuckled as well.

However, that very smile turned into an evil grin quickly.

"But, the king is really stupid…"

"... Huh!? Why!? Are you against the idea of my freedom??"

"No, because you will be meeting me everyday, and everyday I will eat you up!"

"Huh? Whaaa--!"

I pulled her in forcibly and closed the door.

Luckily, no one else is coming that day.

The first thing I did was give her a tour of the house. Since she has never seen it before, showing her the things first is definitely a must. She was quite surprised by how modern some of the things are, like the glass wall to see the backyard and the swimming pool.

After the tour, I told her to sit down by the fireplace while I made her a drink. It took a while, and Lescia got a little bored, so she started a certain topic.

An intriguing information.

"By the way, I forgot to mention this. A long time ago, I overheard my father talking with his advisor."

Lescia said from the living room. I listened in as I made her a simple chocolate drink.

"Uh-huh? About what?"

"They say that signs from another world have been sighted in the east."

I nearly spilled the glass.

I stopped moving my hand immediately as I tried to process what she said. Noticing this silence, Lescia doesn't need to use her eyes of truth to know that I'm interested.

"See? I knew this would be an interesting topic."

… No, that's not just it.

It has been so long now… very long. Too long.

I have forgotten… that I am not from this world.

I have forgotten… that I need to find a way back home.

I finished making the drinks and went to the living room. I sat next to her on the sofa after placing the drink on the glass table.

"Start… telling."

I was going to command her coldly, but then I changed the tone to a much softer one. Luckily, Lescia didn't notice it.

"Hmm... It's around a year ago… I think it was when that insane powerful surge came."

"Powerful surge... Must be the seal's collapse if it was a year ago."

"A seal's what?"

I told her about the seal's collapse, that the seal which was keeping dangerous items has gone old and destroyed itself, letting the dangerous items out. The two perfect examples were the sword of the war god and the rock of energy.

"Oh... I heard about those two items from my dad as well. They said the sword of the war god was taken by the demon king, while the rock of energy disappeared."

"I took the rock of energy myself. And I returned it to the creator, Altin, the god of creation."

"Y-You met the God of Creation!? That's crazy!!"

"Hey, you yourself met the goddess."

"But that would make you have a meeting with two gods, while I only met one!"

"Technically three. I fought and killed the god of orcs."

"Y-You what?"

I spawned an item from my space ring. Valon gave it to me around a year and a half ago, around the time when he found out that I killed the black ranked monster. Turns out it was Galar's horn, it didn't get incinerated for some reason, and by using that item was how they knew Galar was not a simple dungeon boss monster.

"This horn... Belonged to the god of orcs?"

"Yeah. Funny how I met him in a Blue ranked dungeon. If it was anyone else, without a doubt they would be dead."

It truly is weird to think about, how a random god of monsters would just appear inside a random dungeon. Everything about it was so random, that I stopped thinking about it a long time ago since it was so confusing.

Galar… huh?

How long would he last if we were to fight again now?

After hearing that explanation, Lescia nodded and returned the horn to me, and I inserted it back into my ring.

"Now, continue where you left off."

"Right, right. So during that event, every kingdom turned hectic, right? There was the sword of the war god and demons and stuff. So, every kingdom began to search for potential… treasures, or something. I don't know, they began roaming around the continent to look for dangerous weapons… or something.

Stop laughing, I'm trying to explain!"

She kept on using 'or something' because she doesn't want to be wrong. I can tell this must be her first time explaining something so lengthy to another person, but I understood her explanation so there's no issue.

I nodded at her with a grin, and she continued.

"So it was said to be on a small island, not too far from the eastern coast of Naverne kingdom's capital, Ralouyne.

Some of the fishermen found a weird looking object floating in the sea, and they guessed it came from that island. They found some weird looking objects they guessed were from another world."

"Have you seen those... objects before?"

"I have seen some drawings of them. The advisor showed me some when he found out I was eavesdropping... I was super ashamed that day… but I'm not regretting it now!"

I chuckled while imagining that as it came to my mind.

I stood up and asked Lescia to turn around as I conjured some items I could think of. If it truly is items from my world, then maybe I can try creating samples using shadow magic.

The living room is pretty wide. Behind the sofa is a wide open area right under the chandeliers, so I used that spot to place down the shadow creations that I needed to show Lescia.

"Do you see this in the picture?"

I focused, and using my shadow magic, I conjured a bicycle. Bicycles are probably the easiest to notice that are from another world, and that doesn't exist here despite the existence of wheels.

But, Lescia shook her head.

"No, the most specific one I can remember is the drawing that looks like a boat, and white, and I heard it was made out of something that seemed like glass."

Like a boat, white, and made out of something that is similar to glass... Like a boat...

"Oh! You mean a bathtub!"

"A bath-what?"

I pulled her hand and she nearly spilled the hot chocolate from her hand. I showed her the bathroom, and she quickly recognized the item.

"Yes! That is it! I saw that thing in the picture!"

So it was a bathtub…
