Chapter 314 - Chapter 314:Shoddy Construction

After Alice lay for nearly three hours, she felt Amon probably wouldn't come find her.

Looks like he's not planning to return the money either... mm, consider it His agreement!

Alice happily made the decision for Amon, then returned to the "Golden Dream."

Time approached 8 AM, the sun had risen, this was exactly breakfast time, Alice pretended she just woke up, bouncing to the dining hall for breakfast.

Holiday pirates finally recreated the scene in Alice's memory—which decent person doesn't sleep in on holidays but gets up early and obediently eats in the cafeteria!

Yes, the entire dining hall had only Alice alone, not even the cook was there.

After two seconds of silence, Alice silently retreated, began thinking what she should do.

After staring at the captain's quarters direction with trepidation for over ten seconds, Alice suddenly remembered what Danitz said last night.

If she was really that conspicuous in Bayam, there wouldn't be any strange rumors about her and Klein circulating outside...

After all Oravi was only next to Bayam, if she remembered correctly, the "Sweet Lemon" bar was Oravi's most famous adventurer gathering place...

Alice suddenly felt a strong worry rising in her heart.

...Good thing Klein is doing volunteer work, doesn't know about this, haha.

Alice covered her face with her hands, after over ten seconds, she decided to understand the spread degree and range of rumors.

She still hid her existence, after slight consideration, she found she knew nothing about Bayam's taverns.

...See where Danitz and others went.

"Black Forest Bar..." Alice stood at the tavern entrance reading this name, poking her head as she walked in.

Alice originally wanted to secretly find Danitz and others' location—in the divination scene, Danitz was together with "Bow Tie" Jordson, "Gourmet" Blue Walls, "Singer" Orpheus and "Bucket" Daniels and others.

Alice hadn't had time to look around the tavern when she heard Danitz's particularly flamboyant voice:

"Don't be fooled by her face! She's that madman Gehrman Sparrow's lover!"

Alice ground her teeth, looking in the direction of the voice.

Those few people sat together as shown in the divination results, Jordson and Blue Walls seemed still quite sober, Orpheus and Daniels looked slightly tipsy, Danitz... seemed to have been force-fed alcohol.

Looks like alcohol attacks are still effective on mid-low sequence extraordinaries... Alice shook her head, silently approached.

She placed her hand on Danitz's shoulder from behind, simultaneously canceling her concealed state, also using "Restart" to change Danitz to a slightly tipsy state, after looking around once, she looked at Danitz who turned his head, smiling as she bent down to ask:

"Sober now?"

Alice only pulled him partially back from alcohol, Danitz still felt his head like a mass of paste, body light and floating, Alice's voice entered his ears, he sluggishly nodded.

"Sober now~" Alice raised her tone, withdrew that extended hand, put both hands behind her back.

She used her right hand to pinch her left wrist behind her back, simultaneously, a chandelier in the tavern crashed down with a bang, in people's terrified screams, the splashing fragments seemed conscious as they avoided everyone except Danitz.

This wasn't all, Danitz's remaining chair finally reached the end of its lifespan, directly fell apart, losing support Danitz fell toward the ground, but a wooden stick coincidentally stood in place, Danitz directly fell onto it.

Simultaneously, the wine glass in his hand also slipped to the ground, fragments and wine splashed open, quite a bit splashed on him—this might just be the appetizer.

The falling chandelier happened to be not far from Danitz's side, most of the splashing fragments flew toward his face, under alcohol's influence, facing this series of changes, Danitz finally only managed to close his eyes.

"Ah—!" He let out a sharp scream.

Alice frowned covering her ears, those fragments frozen on Danitz's face and body, and the falling fragments, seemed controlled by invisible force, returned along their original trajectory, reassembled into a complete chandelier, and hung back on the ceiling.

The wine glass and chair similarly recovered to original state, Danitz seemed lifted by invisible force, sat back on the chair, no wounds on his body.

As if nothing had happened.

"That chandelier," in the deathly silence, Alice pointed at the chandelier closest to the dance floor, "is about to fall... remember to fix it."

"Ok, okay." Someone at the front desk subconsciously nodded.

Alice then turned her head, showed Danitz a kind smile, successfully making Danitz shiver.

She tilted her head looking around once, trotted to the next table, under the next table's terrified gaze showed them an apologetic smile, then moved away an empty chair.

She carried the chair and sat next to Danitz, turned her head smiling and said:

"Continue talking."

Danitz swallowed with difficulty twice.

Alice maintained her harmless smile saying:

"You wouldn't think what just happened was related to me, would you? That was just your own bad luck, I kindly helped you—you should thank me properly, then reflect on exactly where you made our great Miss Fate unhappy!"

Alice's attention wasn't on others, the briefly stunned customers quickly recovered, discussing with people beside them in small voices with lingering fear, while not forgetting to prick up their ears to listen to their conversation.

"Made the great Miss Fate unhappy... hey, do you remember, that prophecy from the ticketing company about the Saint Furan? "One person quietly asked his companion.

"Remember, remember," his companion also quietly responded, "that ritual-like scene, I have a deep impression, that 'Wheel of Fortune' card, hey, why did she say the prophecy's owner was a girl?"

"She might not necessarily be talking about that incident..." another person at the same table quietly reminded, "might just be a metaphor, like when we say goddess of luck..."

Alice who wanted to hear her own gossip but heard about another matter silently withdrew her attention, glanced at Danitz, then blinked and said:

"You better think carefully, after all... next time what falls might be a meteorite."

Before Danitz could speak, Alice looked up at the ceiling again and murmured:

"Forget it, given this bar's shoddy construction level, rather than waste that effort I might as well make the ceiling collapse..."
