Dr. Lin made a bowl of sugar water and some chocolate for Ouyang Xiaojun, asking her to eat them and get a good rest afterwards.
After seeing Dr. Lin out, Lou Ming turned around and saw her staring blankly at the sofa, his face turning cold, "What are you still sitting there for? Didn't I tell you to go rest?"
Ouyang Xiaojun glanced at him, then got up and slowly lay down by the bed, turning her back discreetly. Her shoulders heaved lightly with her breathing, as she slept quietly.
Lou Ming gazed at her silently for a few seconds, then lay down as well.
He started by lying on his back, eyes open and staring at the ceiling, occasionally glancing at Ouyang Xiaojun from the corner of his eye.
Before long, he too turned his back, but he didn't close his eyes.
The two shared the bed, separated by only a small distance.
Yet their hearts felt as distant as the Arctic and the Antarctic, separated by mountains and oceans.
That night, Lou Ming had a very uneasy sleep.
