"What!?" Marlowe exclaimed, her face contorting with confusion and fury at Alex's dismissive remark about a skill issue. "How can you just say that? Do you even realize how dangerous it is?"
Alex shrugged with an easygoing grin, completely unfazed by her outburst. "It doesn't matter anyway. So... ready?" He turned to Ryu and Medusa, his smile never fading.
Ryu scratched the back of his head, unsure of how to respond. "I mean... if you're confident about this, I guess we'll go along with it."
Medusa adjusted her glasses, narrowing her eyes at Alex. "This better not turn into one of those 'oops, I underestimated the danger' situations."
"It won't," Alex assured her, waving off the concern. "Trust me."
