Chapter 719 - Chapter 719: The old man's routine and the trial result

In the evening, Andy went to the Astronomy Tower alone and quietly opened the box that Grindelwald had sent him.

The box had been magically expanded so that it had a lot of space inside.

Andy roughly counted and found that there were more than 300 books inside, all related to Alchemy.

In this regard, Grindelwald is reliable.

Well...if you don't count the letter!

Grindelwald did slip in a personal item.

It is a letter.

The envelope clearly states that the letter is addressed to Andy Collins and the sender's name is Gellert Grindelwald.

The old man has no intention of hiding it at all!

"Damn old man, how hateful!" Andy cursed.

Opening the envelope, there was not much inside.

The first part roughly introduced the classification of the books, and the second part was another invitation for Andy to come to Europe.

The time is set for the Christmas holiday.

Grindelwald said he had it all arranged. Andy would be provided with accommodation and meals, plus he could visit the Department of Mysteries at the German Ministry of Magic whenever he liked, as he had people in the Ministry.

He assured him that they could go in and out of the Ministry of Magic unhindered.

It would be like a Christmas tour!

Andy: "..."

This is really arrogant!

'Does this guy intend to get me involved in this because he can't beat Dumbledore?' Andy thought indignantly.

Ignoring this, he burned the letter and then carefully checked the books Grindelwald had sent him, sighing with relief when he was sure there were no illegal items hidden in the pages.

'As expected, they're not originals!'

'The original manuscripts left by Nicolas Flamel should still be in the library of Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. I'll have to go there sometime.'

'I can't give up on the Philosopher's Stone!'

But there was no need to rush.

Andy is still young, and he will have plenty of time to study Alchemy in the future. He has only read a small part of the books in the Hogwarts library.

Studying magic cannot be rushed!

The most pressing matter is...

'Should I go or not?' Andy scratched his head.

Deep down, Andy really wanted to go.

In recent years, it may seem that Andy has studied many things, but in general, Andy's studies have actually focused on just two areas.

The first is the mind.

The second is the death dimension.

Love is a higher-level mental power, and the Deathly Hallows are also related to the death dimension.

Love and death!

Having studied them so far, Andy has discovered that there is some unknown connection between the two.

And it all points to the Department of Mysteries!

It's just that...

Grindelwald may not be as hated as Voldemort, but the situation is more or less the same.

No matter what people think, at least on the surface, everyone wants to condemn him.

If Andy gets involved with Grindelwald, he will also find himself in a lot of trouble, and in a worst-case scenario, he may not even be able to stay at Hogwarts.

"Hmm..." Andy pondered slightly.

Grindelwald is up to no good.

Whether it's alchemy books or exploring the Department of Mysteries, the old man has got Andy right in the bull's eye.

Andy can't bring himself to say no.

This is about Andy's study and pursuit of magic.

It even involves the truth about the world!

However, Grindelwald's intentions are also clear as day: he simply wants to get Andy involved!

How shameless!

"Ugh!"

Andy sighed silently.

'If I'm careful, there shouldn't be any problems, right?'

He'd definitely go. Andy couldn't give up his quest to discover the secrets of the Department of Mysteries.

As for danger and trouble...

The danger wasn't that great.

Andy still had a bit of confidence in himself.

As for trouble... if he got caught, there would definitely be trouble, so he just has to find a way not to get caught.

After a little thought, Andy came up with a dozen ways to hide his identity—as long as Grindelwald didn't snitch on him.

Once he had sorted out his thoughts, Andy's mood improved considerably.

Putting away the books – these are all high-end alchemy books, but Andy hasn't even learned the basics yet, so he won't need this knowledge for a while.

He can't even understand some contexts and terms!

After calculating the time, Andy realised that there was still some time before the Christmas holiday, and he could take this opportunity to arrange some things.

Lucius Malfoy had already left for Europe, and news would be coming back in a while.

Andy planned to ask Malfoy about it when the opportunity arose.

As for the rest... he just needs to prepare a few more vials of potion.

Then there is Snape.

The Ministry of Magic's trial of Death Eaters has already begun, and it is not known whether there will be any execution by Dementor's Kiss – there are quite a few evil Death Eaters.

Then there is the analysis of Voldemort's arm.

Thinking about it, Andy felt that he really had a lot on his plate.

After making a schedule for the next period of time, Andy tidied up his clothes and leisurely walked down the Astronomy Tower.

Time to sleep!

***

Busy days passed in a blur, and Andy finally received a letter from Snape – the Ministry of Magic had indeed decided to execute some of the most heinous Death Eaters with the Dementor Kiss!

The time was set for ten days from now!

Well, actually, there was no need for Snape to write a letter. The Daily Prophet reported the news early this morning.

Andy skimmed through the details.

The Death Eaters who would be executed by the Dementor's Kiss are basically poor dark wizards with no background.

As for those Death Eaters with influential connections, they have exhausted all their resources and connections during this period of time, and some of them have even been acquitted of their crimes.

The reason is very simple.

They were under the Imperius Curse!

Within a few days of Voldemort's downfall, the pockets of many Ministry officials had become much heavier.

This included Kyle!

Andy had received a letter from home a few days ago, in which Helen said that after the Voldemort storm had passed, she planned to build a new house...well, a mansion.

Andy could hardly believe it!

How corrupt has Kyle become for his mum to boast like that?

His wife has planned to spend all his ill-gotten money, does he know that?

Back to the topic!

Andy was actually not too surprised by the outcome of the trial at the Ministry of Magic. This kind of thing has happened throughout the ages, both in his past life and in the present, and it has happened many, many times.

It's written clearly in Mythical stories!

Anyone with a certain status can do whatever they want; just take Olympian Gods and the Monkey King, for example.

As long as the system is maintained by humans, this kind of thing could never be avoided.

Even Dumbledore couldn't stop it!

Of course, Voldemort might be able to.

Avada Kedavra!

Andy seriously suspected that the Ministry's decision to execute certain Death Eaters with the Dementor's Kiss was most likely to divert the public's attention.

He knew this trick all too well.

"Ten days from now..." Andy muttered under his breath.

Dumbledore was trying to hide the secret of the Dementor's Kiss, or perhaps something else.

But in any case, Andy would see with his own eyes.

Where did the souls taken by the Dementors go?

What would be the state of a body without a soul?
