Chapter 279 - Chapter 279

Spirit City—a vast, hexagonal metropolis. At its very heart stood the Holy Land of Spirit Masters: the Pope's Palace.

Since the formation of the United Nations, Spirit City had undergone rapid expansion. Over nearly two years, it had grown into three concentric sections: the inner city, the middle city, and the outer city.

These three districts were separated by thick, towering walls, each with two massive gates. Because of the noticeable difference in housing prices and the city's unique shape, the people referred to them as the First Ring, Second Ring, and Third Ring.

Unlike the Spirit City of the past, the central Pope Hall and Elder Hall were now gone—abolished under Bibi Dong's determined reforms.

Qian Daoliu and the conservative elders of the Spirit Hall had fiercely opposed their removal. After all, the Pope Hall and Elder Hall represented the very foundation of both the Spirit Hall and the Qian family. Shaking these institutions was tantamount to shaking the roots of their power.

Surprisingly, the Heaven Dou Empire and Star Luo Empire had supported this move. As former rivals of the Spirit Hall, they were happy to see internal divisions among their enemies. They never expected that Bibi Dong's ambitions went beyond mere reform—she sought revolution.

Her true goal? The establishment of the United Nations. A society free of feudalism, nobility, and class oppression. In doing so, she challenged not only the empires but the entire existing order.

Inevitably, war erupted across the continent, and the United Nations existed in name only.

Following Ye Feng's advice, Bibi Dong opened her mind to the masses—the common people who had long been ignored by spirit masters. With calculated guidance, she stirred the hearts of farmers and workers alike. Uprisings soon broke out across both empires before the war had even reached its climax.

Then came a shocking shift.

Sea God Island, long neutral and uninvolved, announced its allegiance to the United Nations. This greatly empowered the Spirit Hall, especially with the addition of powerful sea spirit masters. With their support, Bibi Dong swiftly overthrew the rule of coastal cities in both the Heaven Dou and Star Luo Empires.

Six months later, Bibi Dong ascended—becoming a god.

A Rakshasa God.

Her vengeance came swiftly.

She launched a beheading campaign and personally killed the emperors of both the Heaven Dou and Star Luo Empires.

Their royal families, left in disarray and without leadership, had no choice but to surrender and acknowledge the authority of the United Nations.

Bibi Dong wasted no time. Sweeping reforms followed. She abolished feudalism and the aristocracy she had always despised, advocating for equality among all people. Spirit masters were encouraged to marry civilians, paving the way for a future where spirit cultivation would be universal.

To further her vision, Bibi Dong ordered the Star Dou Great Forest to be put under supervised captivity. Plans were drawn to establish new spirit beast habitats across the continent. Spirit masters could no longer hunt at will—they had to apply for approval. It was the first step toward sustainable development.

"Well done," Ye Feng praised after listening to Bibi Dong's detailed report.

It was because of him that Bibi Dong had not chosen to destroy this world entirely. And yet, in a way, she was destroying it—only this destruction led to rebirth.

With a wave of her hand, Bibi Dong dismissed the others in the hall.

Hu Liena, Shui Bing'er, Ning Rongrong, Xiao Wu, and the rest quietly left the Pope's Palace.

"I'm thinking of sending someone to the Star Dou Great Forest," Bibi Dong said, turning to Ye Feng. "I want to form an agreement with the spirit beasts there. Ideally, spirit masters would only receive rings from beasts that are already near death."

Ye Feng was momentarily stunned. "That's… a brilliant idea."

What Bibi Dong proposed now was far ahead of its time. She was laying the groundwork for the Spirit Transferring Tower—something that wouldn't exist for another ten thousand years under Huo Yuhao's vision.

"Do you think Xiao Wu would be suitable for the job?" Bibi Dong asked. "She's a transformed spirit beast. If she's willing to become our envoy, it will have a much greater impact."

"You want me to talk to her?" Ye Feng asked.

Bibi Dong nodded, her expression slightly weary. "Because of her mother, she's still cold toward me. I've promised her resurrection, but I haven't yet ascended to the God Realm, so I can't fulfill that promise. Though she no longer seeks revenge, as long as her mother remains gone, she will never fully accept me."

"Alright," Ye Feng smiled, gazing at the beautiful and composed woman before him. "Any reward for helping you?"

"Didn't I just clear the room for us?" Bibi Dong smirked proudly.

She saw through Ye Feng completely. She knew what he wanted—and she didn't mind.

"Hehe~" Ye Feng chuckled shamelessly.

Bibi Dong was different from Bo Saixi.

With her, Ye Feng could ask for anything. She would satisfy him without reservation. Bo Saixi, on the other hand, remained distant, even though Ye Feng was supposed to sacrifice himself to help Shui Bing'er inherit the godhood. You'd think he would indulge in human pleasures while he still could. But no—Bo Saixi always held back.

"Let's go to the room," Ye Feng grinned, pulling Bibi Dong into his arms.

"Not yet, Feng," she said. "I want to show you someone first."

"Who?"

"You'll want to reward me after meeting him."

"Who is it?" he asked curiously.

"Come with me, and you'll see."

Bibi Dong stood and led Ye Feng out of the Pope's Palace. Together, they descended into a heavily secured prison, accessible only through a complex mechanism.

The air was damp and foul. In the center of the room, four thick chains stretched from the walls, binding a man tightly in place.

Disheveled hair, missing a hand and a foot—Ye Feng's spiritual sense flared.

"…Tang Hao?"

Bibi Dong nodded. "Yes. It's him."

"You caught him?" Ye Feng looked at her in disbelief.

Even with his old wounds, Tang Hao had once possessed strength above Bibi Dong's own, before her ascension. The fact that she captured Clear Sky Douluo was astonishing.

Bibi Dong sighed. "To bring him down, we lost four Title Douluo and eight Bishops. Chrysanthemum led the expedition into the Star Dou Great Forest to hunt spirit beasts. That's when they ran into Tang San."

Ye Feng's eyes narrowed. "Tang San…"

He was one of Ye Feng's targets upon returning.

"Yes," Bibi Dong confirmed. "While he was missing for years, I found out he had gone to Slaughter City and acquired the Death God Domain. Afterward, he eluded my spies using disguise techniques. He even studied music and etiquette under Tang Yuehua at Yuexuan Pavilion for a full year. It wasn't until he entered the Star Dou Great Forest again that he exposed himself."
