The next morning, Eira woke Ann up before dawn, her eyes gleaming with a mixture of determination and trepidation.
"Ann, I think it's time we went back to the island," she said, her voice low and urgent. "I think Mino might have fled to one of the caves to hide out during the day."
Ann rubbed the sleep from her eyes, her mind still foggy from the events of the previous night. She remembered the terror of watching Mino transform into a Minotaur, and the feeling of unease that lingered long after they had left the island.
But Eira's words sparked something within her. She felt a surge of determination to find out what was going on, to uncover the truth about Mino's transformation and what it meant for their future together.
"Okay," she said, swinging her legs over the side of the bed. "Let's go."
Eira nodded, a small smile playing on her lips. "I'll get the boat ready. Meet me at the shore in half an hour."
