"Auntie came the other day and she asked where you were." Shen Mu told her.
"My mother came over?" Cheng Xiao asked.
"Yes, I assumed she still doesn't know and told her that you went to work." Shen Mu spoke.
"She wanted to go into your room, she wanted to do our laundries, but I told her that we will manage." Shen Mu added.
"Thank you for that." Cheng Xiao said grateful.
"When do you plan on telling her about you know?" Shen Mu asked.
"How will I even start? I just hope this whole mess can end." Cheng Xiao replied.
"It seems like he has no plans of ending it so, you might as well just accept it." Shen Mu suggested.
"If he won't, doesn't mean his family members won't." Cheng Xiao replied.
"You mean?" Shen Mu asked.
"Yes, if he doesn't want then I will just have to involve his family." Cheng Xiao replied.
If Xu Kai didn't plan on divorcing her, then she was going to use his family to force him into divorcing her after all the rich people always preferred people from their circle.
"His mother might not have a problem with it, but I know his grandfather doesn't like office romance. At this point I don't mind if he thinks that I used his grandson to climb the social ladder." Cheng Xiao spoke.
"Isn't that a bit extreme? After all I know how you feel when someone calls you those names." Shen Mu asked with concern.
"It's fine, as long as I can be separated from him then I'll endure any insults." Cheng Xiao replied.

"Yes, I cannot stay entangled with him." Cheng Xiao spoke.
"I know my place, and I have no plans in entering the high society." Cheng Xiao added while playing with her food.
"What if it doesn't work?" Shen Mu asked something that Cheng Xiao was not prepared at all.
"It will work; I have met his grandfather. He is very strict with his family, and I know for a fact that he will not let someone like me into their family." Cheng Xiao spoke.
"Cheng Xiao, all these years we have been friends I have watched you belittle yourself and I am still not understanding till now. Why do always look down on yourself?" Shen Mu asked.
"It's not that I am looking down on myself, but rather that I know my background and I am fine." Cheng Xiao replied.
"Although my background is not all bad, it is still far away from his and I don't want to involve in the drama that follows the rich." Cheng Xiao replied to which they both laughed.
