I narrated everything All For One had done to his life, including giving him his current quirk and triggering it so that it killed every member of his family when he was at his lowest as a child. I even explained that Dabi's current appearance was because All For One had created a backup in case Tomura Shigaraki died in some unfortunate accident. Just like Shigaraki, who had a connection to Nana Shimura—through which he could emotionally damage All Might and others—Dabi's identity as the son of the second strongest hero would also help in destroying society in the future.
As I spoke, I saw Shigaraki get shocked at a few points, but he calmed down just as quickly. By the time I reached the end, he had an expression of extreme calm and was silent for a few moments.
I knew he was still thinking about everything I had revealed, so I waited patiently for him to speak first.
"Even if everything you said is true," he started, looking at me with the same dead eyes I had seen on his face when I battled him in the other world, "what's the point of telling me now? Do you think I'll follow some path of redemption like the others? You might be able to help them by fixing what broke them in the first place. But what broke me was the messed-up society of this world that favors the majority while making sure minorities like me suffer in their place.
They don't care what happens to us—those who look just a bit different or are gifted in ways others can't appreciate—but instead glorify lies about how kind and unstoppable those false heroes are. Just wait until I destroy their heroes.
They'll show their true selves—savages who wouldn't hesitate to kill children to survive."
Shigaraki started wheezing after making this statement.
Inazuma didn't speak for a few seconds, but then he took out his phone and placed it flat on the glass that separated them. A video started playing on it.
Shigaraki, curious, watched the video.
It began with a boy walking through an alley, looking disheveled, malnourished, and altogether weak, as though he'd been through a difficult ordeal. His quirk also made him look hideous and frightening.
Shigaraki didn't know who the boy was, but he recognized the eyes and the expression on his face. He had seen it every time he thought about the society that abandoned him when he needed them. He knew it was the same expression he'd worn while trudging through the streets after killing his entire family.
But what confused Shigaraki was the setting in the video. There was a lot of wreckage—debris ranging from destroyed car parts to toppled buildings. What confused him further was that he recognized the places the kid was walking through. From what he knew, the battle with his former master had occurred in an entirely different part of the city—far from the location shown in the video. Also, the destruction seemed far worse than what the battle with All Might had caused at the old base.
"I know this place. How did it get destroyed like this? The battle between us didn't happen here, and you haven't stopped me from accessing the news outside. There have been no reports of anything like this happening," Shigaraki said, questioning Inazuma, who paused the video.
"You're a guy who plays video games, right? Ever heard about alternate dimensions and the multiverse?"
Shigaraki's eyes widened as realization struck.
"That day on I-Island, you went too fast while carrying the bomb that was about to explode and destroy the entire island. While running at that high speed, you broke through the walls that keep dimensions from colliding. So this video was taken from an alternate dimension, I suppose," Shigaraki said, speaking aloud his speculations.
This time, it was Inazuma's turn to be surprised—his eyes widened a bit. Shigaraki scoffed at his reaction, but the slight curve of his lips showed he enjoyed catching Inazuma off guard for once.
"Well, it's not completely accurate to the letter, but I'll say you got close. Must be a huge fan of those sci-fi series, huh?"
"Tch…" was the only reply Inazuma got, so he continued.
"Well, you could say this dimension was an exact copy of ours—except for one factor that was present here."
He then pointed to himself.
"So, you didn't exist in that dimension? Did we win in that one, at least? Was the destruction because of that?" Shigaraki asked, a hopeful look on his face.
"Nope. Sorry. You tried your best to destroy society's hope, and succeeded for a few months. But after that—even those who initially agreed with you turned against you, seeing that you were slaughtering everyone, regardless of guilt.
The number of child deaths alone was too high to ignore as just another statistic," Inazuma replied, and Shigaraki could feel the gravity of the situation through the change in his tone.
Inazuma then played the video again. As Shigaraki watched, he saw the change in the boy's expression. He could sense the boy was about to snap. The protrusions on the boy's body, created by his quirk, showed he was just about to attack.
But suddenly, a woman grabbed the child's hand.
"Are you okay?" she asked.
As Shigaraki saw this, his eyes widened in recognition of the woman.
Inazuma was ab le to see it clearly as well.
"Come on, I'll make sure you're safe until we can do something" She said as she began gently guiding the child.
As she walked, she muttered something that was clearly captured in the video.
"I hope the boy I saw all those years ago is alright. I can't believe I was scared of him then, he was just a child needing help"
Every word the woman spoke hit Tomura's mind deeply. He started breathing deeply as if he was losing air.
"Why?"
A/N- hope you like it and every 100 powerstone gets extra chapter of Jason.
